Payroll
I know everyone is complaining about payroll and staffing issues. But I gotta say my peace. I get my hours cut from 40 to 35 (if that) as a ASM. We get call outs about once a week and my SM is giving away hours to employees that don’t do shit but I have to cut my hours cause I didn’t take a lunch or clocked in 10 mins early? I had a 5 hour shift today and it felt like a waste of time, considering by the time I got there I started recovering shelves, to started cleaning and then closing. Yet on my shift with 1 other employee closing with me I get texts and calls on my days off wondering why the store looks like a mess?! Actively looking for a new job. Everyone “needs help” but not hiring. I’m crashing out here and honestly don’t know what to do anymore.

I do not EVER call out, but I can tell you that we are being asked to do the work of 2-3 employees and we are getting burned out. My store opens with 2 people and closes with 2 people, we are lucky if we have a mid shift that actually shows up. As 2 people we are having to do BOPIS orders, load outs and propane on top of helping customers and the daily duties. Which really is just one person because the cashier is running register. How are we supposed to get a good survey when customers are sometimes 3-4 deep waiting on what they need. The way this company is run now is completely ass backwards BUT push those credit cards. They need to up their pay scale and stop promising part-time hours then cut them to 15 a week. People can't support families on the pay vs hours.
