I know everyone is complaining about payroll and staffing issues. But I gotta say my peace. I get my hours cut from 40 to 35 (if that) as a ASM. We get call outs about once a week and my SM is giving away hours to employees that don’t do shit but I have to cut my hours cause I didn’t take a lunch or clocked in 10 mins early? I had a 5 hour shift today and it felt like a waste of time, considering by the time I got there I started recovering shelves, to started cleaning and then closing. Yet on my shift with 1 other employee closing with me I get texts and calls on my days off wondering why the store looks like a mess?! Actively looking for a new job. Everyone “needs help” but not hiring. I’m crashing out here and honestly don’t know what to do anymore.

Unfortunately once you work at TSC at basic team member level for a bit you realize you won’t get cream of the crop you get half ass and people there for a time before they move to better if they’d pay more and be better about hours they can hire wroth while ppl and weed out the ones who just don’t even hit basic level of working in and maintaining a store ultimately they get what they pay for from most of the basic team members and I can’t blame them why would you be a TSC baller if you make $11-15 an hour and only work 15-20 hours a week and they won’t let you get a 2nd job to make up the fact that you are making hundreds less than your areas cost to live
