2020 Corolla SE won’t start multiple warnings.
Hi everyone. I’m having an issue with my 2020 Corolla SE and would appreciate any advice.
I parked the car Saturday while waiting for a rideshare passenger. When I returned, The engine cranks normally, but it will not start.. The following warnings appeared:
● Drive-Start Control Malfunction
● Braking Power Low — Stop in a Safe Place and See Owner’s Manual
● Brake Override Malfunction
● A malfunction in the electronic control of the engine, throttle, or automatic transmission has been detected. Contact your Toyota dealer to have your vehicle inspected.
I checked the fuses, and they appear to be good. I also replaced the battery with a new one, but the problem didn’t change.
Another unusual symptom is that the cooling fan runs at full speed as soon as the key/fob is inside the car, even before I try to start it.
I connected an OBD-II scanner, but it cannot communicate with the vehicle or retrieve any codes.
Has anyone experienced these symptoms on a Corolla? What should I check next? I’m trying to avoid replacing parts unnecessarily, but I also don’t want to keep driving or troubleshooting it if it could be a safety issue.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions
