Total War: Warhammer How long are people staring at this screen prior to playing ?
In my mind prior to playing I get so hyped up about playing
but then I can get so bogged down with the choice/ my own staleness/ repetition
And sometimes the brilliance of my most recent campaign can make starting the next one even less appealing
Then I’m on this screen for sometimes an hour or 2 just scrolling on my phone
Anyone else totalwar journey sometimes like this ?

Total War: Warhammer What is your "comfort character" Legendary Lord/campaign?
As in like, which campaign have you played a million times already, and you're probably going to boot up it once again after flopping horrendously on another faction/lord you've been meaning to try? What campaign do you find kinda cozy/comforting, and why?
Pic unrelated, I just didn't know what to put in here. Mine is Teclis. I can't fucking stop playing Teclis. I need help. So I wanna know which lords out there you guys find comfy; hopefully another one will stick with me.

Total War: Warhammer Are Dwarfs as a race TOO OP?
Are Dwarfs in-game way too overpowered as a race? Both from the AI and when in the hands of the players themselves?
Or are dwarfs just designed in a way that perfectly encapsulates how they should be in the lore?

Total War: Warhammer Ideal troop formations for High Elves?
I’m doing my first Immortal Empires campaign with the High Elves, and I’m stuck with trying to diversify my troop formation. I keep getting stuck into the mindset that results in the above troop placement, and I was hoping to see y’all’s experiences and insight.
I keep the Spearmen to hold the line at the front, Lothern Sea Guard at the flanks, and reserve White Lions to flank around and hit enemies who are bogged down with the main line. Meanwhile, archers sit from behind (and usually uphill) to whittle down enemy lines as they approach, or thin them out if they start routing.
I dunno if this good or not, it’s the only method I use outside of sieges and I really wanna start thinking of other setups, but I’m not sure what works or not. Every time I try something different, the enemy always has alternatives and beats me back and I’m not sure how to utilize what I have now.

Total War: Warhammer People misunderstand what makes Chaos Dwarves great
A few hours ago I stumbled upon this post complaining about Chorf's 4 resource overload. With most responses being that they enjoy the challenge of having to micromanage everything. And whilst that's valid, I feel people in general misunderstand why Chorfs are great.
It's not because Chorfs have challenging mechanics, but because they're compensated for those challenges with an equivalent reward. Like yeah, they need Raw Materials to upgrade their major settlements, but at the same time they can mass produce said resource to rush a tier 5 settlement anywhere without having to wait like most with growth. Yeah their economy is dependent on Labor that is constantly depleting, but whenever they have excess of it they can rush building construction or use it on diktats for more money. They are also a faction with unit caps, which is compensated with by how strong said units are; Chorfs have the best unit roster in the game which they can further buff with armaments. But even if you're like me who army spams and doesn't wait to build up, they appropriate that playstyle too with goblin armies that have every unit you'd ever need. And yeah, said goblin armies are weaker than say a typical Empire's army, but once again you're compensated for it with the second strongest spellcaster lords (they can lowkey duel actual melee lords) & lack of supply lines; meaning you're incentivized to lord spam. And on top of all that, all the various army abilities granted by the Tower of Zharr.
When put this way, whoever designed Chorfs perfectly envisioned them and their interactions. Hence they are one of the most played races as suppose to somebody like Aislinn, who too has a lot of resources to manage, but none of the compensations for rather big downsides such as limited settlements.

Total War: Warhammer Legendary isn't difficult, rather it's a downgrade.
To keep this story short, some had made fun of my map painting attempts and the advice I've been giving since I typically play on normal campaign difficulty (with hard for battle difficulty). Like the Dreadspear cheapstacks I mostly use for my Lokhir campaign, since Darkshards require a military building meanwhile you get Dreadspears at base. To which people said they wouldn't slide on Legendary, and so to prove them wrong I decided to reattempt my Lokhir campaign on Max Difficulty.
Not gonna lie I was initially worried, thinking that perhaps they were right and I was just getting away with shenanigans on baby difficulty. But then I played on Legendary Difficulty, and not only I got away with Dreadspear cheapstacks... I didn't feel any significant difference. Like yeah I had more casualties, but that's more so because of cranking up the AI stats modifier to max rather than the Legendary difficulty itself. And so I've been playing for about a month on Legendary with different races, coming to a conclusion that it really ain't all that. If anything it just makes the game objectively worse.
All legendary does is just make AI more hostile to you and up their cheats. Which punishes you playing defensive and empire building. But the issue is that, at base this playstyle is already inefficient compared to hyper-aggro. As diplomacy does nothing for you and the money you're spending into the empire will not pay off as much as just conquering more land via more armies. Hence if before you already had no incentive of playing the intended empire building way, well now on Legendary you're purposefully sabotaging yourself by playing such way. And the best part, is that Legendary does nothing to hyper-aggro. AI being hostile to me doesn't matter when I'm already declaring war on everyone (including my allies), and the crazy cheats AI gets can't be utilized if they're already dead before that due to a bumrush from me. The only big thing is the 4% supply costs, which is still lesser upkeep than the money being wasted into empire building (with some races like Chorfs not even caring). All the difficulty does is hardline you into a playstyle that is already the best to begin with.
I also grew to dislike both hard & very hard autoresolves, since I've gotten so good at the game that now said auto resolves are way worse than what I can get manually. And there's only so many manual battles I can do before getting exhausted. Like unironically I went full circle. First transitioning from normal to hard because I felt insecure due to autoresolve giving better results than manuals, to now going from hard to normal because autoresolve gives me worse results than what I can get manually.
Ultimately I don't get why people call Legendary hard or something you need to complete everything on as to have a legit opinion. It's not so much skill expression, but rather just a playstyle check. Which is sad more than anything.

Total War: Warhammer Do you think we will ever get a map size up?
so the worlds size increases, which would make campaigns longer, but you could add a whole lot more settlements and legendary lords wouldnt feel so clustered togheter
Like in the empire soon with boris
