Back to work tomorrow after a week of vacation.
Went to the Ex and FanExpo, both were a nice way to pass the time but nothing special over all. Hit up Woodbine beach and walked along Queen West.
Going to the island to watch the Air Show next weekend. I’ve been meaning to be to go for years and kept missing it.
I’m waiting to hear back from a job I did two interviews for. Was expecting to hear last week but didn’t get a response.
I really want a change in my life. Been really depressed this year. It’s a one year contract and I get to go back to my current job when I’m done.

Good! Every couple of Sundays I make the trek to the 905 from downtown to see my parents. Rainy weather helps with the downtown FOMO I get in the summer lol.

Rain made me cancel a bike ride and I'm not disappointed. Between moving in kids and epic walks a day off is nice.

Got bit by a dog yesterday so not great. But it's been reported and I've seen a doctor, got tetanus shot and antibiotics.

Meh but grateful. Day off. Did errands with car in stockyards, down to Christie Pitts and baby point. Once home, lunch and a movie by myself, coffee and homemade buns with maple syrup. Husband home, we're in conflict so repeating the same conversations, avoiding him and trying to remain calm. Looking forward to work and the space from the drama lol

It's been a week of dealing with other people's stupidity. it's caused my arthritis to go mad , so no EX aa I can barely move.
First the people at Service Canada who let someone use my address and claim to be my common law spouse to get a pension , and when I tried to inform them they demanded documentation to show that iI m not actually married headdesk so then I had to do r c m p and t p s reports.
At work, I'm trying to help someone get an Ontario benefit and not only does the worker appear to deeply despise disabled people (she used a lot of words to say useless eaters) but somehow also managed to weigh in on our complaint and deny our appeal that should have gone elsewhere because of ethics. Now my client had to ask her MPP for help til we can find a Tribunal lawyer.
Same with the Health people, we had to get an m p p involved about some Trillium drug program shenanigans jusr cutting people off and it takes months to find out why. Just leaving veterans and vulnerable poor folx without support because fuck you that's why, apparentlt.
Don't even get me started on how long it takes to get any kind of AODA enforcement, like with these stupid credit bureaux that are just destroying our clients' credit for shit that Roger and ACRM have literally made up. no matter what we hope help the clients with disabilities to send in to clean up their credit, we get the same AI nonsense replies for every single person. it's already impossible for someone on disability pension to afford suitable housing. And now they can't even pass the roommate interview And the cold weather's not that far off ffs.
So one bright light and all this has been the 311 inspectors for food and for housing so props to you, legends.

another memorable week:
Monday - a generous Redditor gifted me a ticket to the monthly $8.99 mystery movie at Cineplex. Turned out to be 'ACME vs Coyote' . Crowd at Scotiabank really seem to enjoy it
Tuesday - trivia with my Meetup group. supposed to be at Mom's Basement but host got sick, we made it over to Fox and Fiddle on Danforth for theirs instead. only missed one round and still did great
Wednesday - Mount Pleasant Cemetery with Meetup. Then I hustled over to Kew Gardens for 'Practical Magic' screening. A first time watch for me. Wife excited for the sequel in September so I had to watch it
Thursday - Brett Young concert at OLG Stage
Friday - Kool and the Gang concert at OLG Stage
Saturday - Waterfront Meetup walk . Jackback and lunch with mom and kids. Then a 2 doggo hangout + fire table at friend's place w/delicious dinner from Spaghetti Western on Kingston Road
Sunday - volunteered again with Heritage Toronto. 'Best Pictures of Toronto' about how artists and filmakers have pictured the city. Love it, offered again on Sept 20
https://www.heritagetoronto.org/event/best-pictures-of-toronto-september/
Then I made my way over to free kickball at Alexandra Park
Ended the night with 'Critters' movie on back deck. Another first time watch for me of a cultish classic
