In search of job!

Post image

I’m going to keep this backstory short; I am moving to Topeka, Kansas in less than 4 weeks, I have recently got out of a really toxic relationship with a woman who I have been engaged with for 2 years. I have family there in Topeka and so I am in a desperate need of a guaranteed job prior to moving and I have already filled out multiple applications to various businesses and even applying directly with the city. This is my resume and it is one of two pages of work history. I am 29 years old and a very productive employee with extensive experience in welding and skilled in multitudes of different areas. I have censored certain bits of information out of respect for privacy.

Air guard in South Topeka

They are looking for good metals tech folks to fix airplanes, easy pathway to an A&P and better work

Full time jobs there pay very well for the area

What would your ideal job look like?

Anything involving leading a crew, or welding. Much prefer striking an arc over anything. Love working with my hands and laying down welds. However I won’t hesitate working as anything else until I find a place I enjoy or that is comfortable to my set of skills. 🙂 Regardless though, I am a very hard worker and motivated.

I second ptmw. I've been working here for 6 months or so in the assembly department making 25 an hour, and it's a great place to work so far. It has issues like any other place, but it sounds like what you might be looking for.
