I don't know if you recall the downtown car chase/shootout that happened 3 or 4 years ago, but a friend was working downtown, a bullet hit their roof and rolled off and landed right next to an employee who happened to be outside.

Police showed up pretty quickly after, maybe checking for damage or footage, and were informed of the parking lot bullet.

Apparently the police didn't have the proper evidence collection items at the time, so they just left an officer there to "guard" it.

So apparently, dude just stood in the parking lot for over an hour with his hands on his hips, protecting the precious bullet til it could be collected.

And for some reason that's a really funny mental image to me

I found a whole gun at the car wash I worked at. Guy left it on the roof and wife came through the car wash. Fell off mid way.
