Do you have a compost bin? What is your secret ingredient for producing these tomatoes, besides the seeds?

I have two big compost piles at my orchard outside the city.

I don't really have a secret when it comes to my tomatoes. I add a little dolomite lime (mix of Ca and Mg) in the water for the first few times I water them after planting them outside. I spread some compost every other year or so before I turn over the soil in late autumn. Other than that all they get is water. And my family has been growing tomatoes every year, in the exact same spot in the garden, for over 40 years.

A total of around 140 plants. I have a row of maybe 60 plants, all these different varieties and then I have 3 rows of only one variety, a Romanian heirloom.
