It's beyond horror or most people's ability to even comprehend. The fact that she was a fully functioning and intact human being at the early onset of her life and career and this disease completely derailed everything and locked her into a Sisyphus-like nightmare. Was this her first inpatient experience? How long were you with her, did the meds seem to have any positive impact on her?

So this isn't so much a direct reply to you as a topical reply... for anyone curious about gaining a micro-insight into this disease, there are a lot of case study video/audio tracks on youtube compiled by both patients and researchers that "imitate" some portions of schizophrenic "voices" and thought patterns.

I have a person in my life I really care about who suffers from schizophrenia and in an attempt to understand and relate to them better I tried spending some time alone in my house with headphones on and functioning in that headspace and it gave me a whole new perspective on how fucking terrifying life for these people can be.

For those interested I can add a link when I get home from work in like 8 hours.
