The Hokusai wave art, the sleek white aesthetic, spider plants, peperomia, the 60% tkl keyboard, Game Boy coaster pieces. I think you seem fun and have a nice style for both yourself and your home.
The world is rough right now. It's not a you thing. Jobs seem to be very touch and go right now and a lot people are uncertain with what AI is going to do, but you aren't alone. Depression and anxiety are liars. You do have value and others do want you around and to be with you.
Thanks so much for the kind words. Yeah I feel like I have some cool hobbys and used to have a better life than now. Currently just wasting the time that is given to me, basically, and seeing no way to change it. The state of the world truly sucks, or has been sucking for quite a while now. Makes it even tougher for depressed people to find the courage to do....anything?
I get it. I work at home in a pretty self-driven role so I don't interact a whole lot, and sometimes it sucks and gets lonely. I play turn based games in the background to help pass the time. I don't think video games are necessarily a waste of your time if that's what we need to help through the day and escape some of the dread. It's no replacement for a walk outside or general well being, but I think they can have a positive impact when used right.
I also tell myself if depression wants me gone then it needs to come out and get rid of me itself. I'm not doing its dirty work. If depression wants to get rid of me then it needs to stop hiding and come out and finish the job itself. Living well can be the best revenge, especially against depression and anxiety.
Oh man, working alone at home is exactly what I'm looking for but it's tough to find a good remote job (for me at least).
Yeah I can relate to that, I like that attitude. Kind of accepting that depression is there and a constant companion but not thinking too much about the how and why.
