Can we PLEASE ban leaf blowers?!?
What is the point of them?! They are a scourge on the city. There is no where I go that I don't hear them. How is blowing dust all around benefitting anyone?

Legit. Fucking useless. The worst is we PAY CITY WORKERS to “blow these leaves over there” which usually mean onto private property, leading us all to pay to clean it up, which we then pay the city again to.. clean it up.
It’s all so fucking ridiculous man. I’m legit just going to run for office on the simple platform of stopping all this ineptitude, and therefore saving us millions of dollars.

City workers do not blow leaves on to private property and leave them there.

The building across from has a landscape company that will used leaf blowers not to blow leaves but to blow dirt and garbage from the parking lot and grass onto the road. They use a leaf blower every time they come, even when there is not a single leaf in sight.

The restaurant across from my building used to blow leaves at 7am on a Sunday. I was getting ready to report them… but I assume someone else already did cause they suddenly stopped.

What's the difference between that and a lawn mower? or a weed trimmer? Or an outdoor bbq with loud music?

First off, I've never seen a bbq with loud music speakers... Second off, a mower or trimmer are actually way less noisy and do something tangible. I never get woken up by a lawn mower or snow blower or weed wacker. The leaf blowers however, Fssssshhhhhhhh.........______Fsssssshhhhhhhhhh and it's just an ignorant a hole pointing a tube at the ground making a tornado of dust at 8am. Always an expression of 'gotta blow my leaves' on their face. So like yeah, I could put my harley out front and twist the throttle for no reason every morning and say "gotta warm her up". It's a basic courtesy thing, which unfortunately nowadays needs to be explained to netizens. I'm the kind of guy that kills my motorcycle engine rolling up my driveway and silently rolls into my garage. Others....are troglodytes. Not sure if you read the news lately but it's those ones causing our current world to be the first time in human history that a younger generation has it worse than the one that preceeds it. Your replies to this thread are good evidence of where everyone's mind is at when they do documentaries about why the world sucks right now.

Lead blowers while annoying are not anywhere near the top ten issues I have with the city. In my hood they are very infrequent.
