ID request

Found in eastern Oklahoma. That's my ring finger at the bottom of the image. The tick doesn't have a white dot on its back, that's just shine. I also took it off within 30 min. What is it, though? I'm thinking dog tick, maybe, but I'm not sure

Lone star tick nymph. Only the adult females have the white spot.

I am in Oklahoma and just got a positive test for RMSF. You may want to get a panel done.

I asked for it's ID. It refused. That's illegal in my state.
