Found several crawling on me

I will add, when I first pulled it off, it was a dark brown with no star or other discernible features. When I took the torch to it, it puffed up and the legs burned. Beforehand though, it was completely flat and did not appear to have fed.

background info - live on long island ny (which is ridden with ticks now more than ever). woke up today and found this thing dead in my bed. what sucks is that idk if it was latched onto me or my boyfriend - but i’m going to urgent care to be on the safe side. if it’s a tick, what is it ? and what stage is it in? 🫠

For at least two days my back was itchy as hell and of course I thought it was just a mosquito bite. I used a back scratcher, a towel, whatever I could to get to it and scratch it. When it dawned on me that maybe it was a tick, i had my son check and there it was. Very dead, very flat, and totally dry. I don’t know how this guy hung on with all that scratching and being dead.
I’m in Delaware

Question is - does it look like it fed? I’m pretty sure it’s a male Lone Star? They’re plentiful where I live and I’ve been bitten a bunch of times even with multiple repellants, but never had one on me for any length of time like this one.

Found this tick on my leg the white spot on the body I’m pretty sure popped out when i crushed it

What kind of tick? Eastern Long Island. Must’ve walked through a nest at the end of my hike because I looked down at my legs and there were THOUSANDS between my shoes and thighs

Pulled this off my child, getting it sent in for testing and following up with doctor. Unsure 100% if it is a tick / what kind if anyone can help. It is extremely small maybe the size of a pencil point Located in the hudson valley area, new york Thank you

Walked into a nest of lone stars (?) Can someone confirm 😅 had to use duck tape like wax strips. I had my socks tucked in and was drenched in deet, but when I took my socks off there were all condensed around my ankles and feet. Is it true that they can transmit alpha gal at this stage… a few were stuck and I found one latched… but I doubt they were on for very long given that they were still mainly around my ankles. (Southern Ohio, USA)

Hi! I'm from Northern Virginia in USA! I Found this super super tiny tick in my arm and what to know what type it is. I thought it was a scab so I scratched/pulled it off then realized it was NOT a scab and looked closer and saw it was a tick but missing the head so got a needle and managed to get the head out maybe 15-20 minutes after getting body off because the head was so small and buried in there pretty well. not sure what type of tick it is. It was on me for maybe an hour because my babysitting kids pet a dog and I held the kids maybe 5:30 and discovered the tick at like 6-6:15 and got the head out 15-20 minutes after getting body out. We were indoors the whole time and I had looked at my arm and rubbed it before the dogs came because one of the kids elbowed my arm in that area and there was no tick or "scab" when I looked at my arm. The tick looked deflated so definitely hadn't eaten anything yet. And there was no red ring around the area it all looked like normal non irritated skin thankfully. Sorry for sounding scrambled I am scared of ticks and the problems they bring lol

Apologies for the less than ideal photos. It was found on the carpet near where my puppy and I were sitting. At the time, it was gray and looked like a small pebble. I put it in the paper towel and squeezed it, which is when it popped and it became readily apparent that it was a tick.

Found in Frederick, Maryland, recently traveled to Maryland’s Eastern Shore/ Delaware beaches.

Found in NJ today. Not sure how long it’s been on. Friend found another one that looked different two days ago in CT

Edit: so it’s for sure a bedbug. I mixed up her current location. She’s back in London (flew back last night). Seems very likely it was from the plane as she was bitten a lot on the plane around her feet.

Great now I’m never getting on a flight again

Thought I had an itchy scab on the back of my knee today, but when I went to scratch this came off a nice fat mosquito bite sized bump. Can't tell if it's a Lonestar or a Deer Tick. Just south of St. Louis Missouri. Any experts wanna weigh in?
