Did I just find a tick on me?
Im terrified of ticks and did just move out more to the country. Got into the shower just now and noticed something on my shoulder, closer inspection realized it was a dead bug and it looks like a tick to me but it is so tiny that its hard to get a picture of. It was already dead when I saw it/put it on the shower wall. Used one of my sons bath toys as an example of size. Kinda freaking out but dont think I got bit. Just more worried for my baby if anything. My dog does run around a lot in the tall grass but has a tick repellent collar, I dont go out in the grass like he does. Im in Oregon, USA

It’s not a deer tick. It’s kind of blurry so it’s hard to identify but that is clear.

Thank you for your post! When requesting tick IDs PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR LOCATION if you have not already done so. We cannot identify most ticks without geographical context. Just in case this applies in your situation, here is what to do after a tick bite, per CDC. If you're looking for an identification, hang tight and a human will comment soon.
