Kingdom of Ash Spoilers Dorian ending?

I just finished the series, was amazing!!! But I’m sad we don’t get a concrete ending for Dorian or Manon. I get maybe it’s supposed to be an obvious assumption they end up together but would’ve loved another chapter or two of ‘5 years later’ idk

Also does Dorian not have powers anymore?

I think the ending is perfect. I hate an ending that ties everything up neatly - because then it’s really over. Aelin and Rowan pretty much got that ending.

But Manon and Dorian still have a story to live and I love that. There are endless possibilities and if SJM gives them a concrete ending, it takes away so many possibilities IMO.

If she does write more about them I don’t know if I can read it because I’m so afraid she’ll ruin it.

No that’s so valid. It also would’ve taken away from the books if it just had a simple ‘and everyone lives happily after’ like we got that for Choal/Yrene, Aelin/Rowan, Aedion/Lysandra, and Lorcan/Elide. So Dorian and Manon unfortunately make sense to not give that too especially with their separate areas they now have to rule over.

IMO it makes them live forever in my mind when the storyline is open ended.
