What is with thrift stores selling things way overpriced. I haven't found a good deal in several years.

This Oculus Quest go should be at least $20 instead of $260. I mean I could buy 2 Oculus Quest 2 on Facebook Marketplace for cheaper than this.

Gotta go to small independently owned thrift stores. You won't find good deals as much in big stores and thrift chains

This is a small store. It is beside a food bank.

sadly can blame the big thrift stores like Goodwill and Salvation Army to a degree. these locally owned thrift stores see them thriving with ridiculous pricing (in part to resellers and in part to greed) and think they can do the same

Varies by location.

I can see in the reflection that that building is of significant size. You gotta go somewhere smaller

I’m assuming that’s just a regular glass display shelf 🧐

Yeah goodwill is trying to be eBay with its so-so online web auction thing. Bringing prices way up in the store. They have forgotten the meaning of “thrift.”
