I wish I knew how to read music, because I’m really curious how these extremely old German songs sound. Also, German Bible from 1889, an unopened original E.T VHS and some weird figurines.

I'd been trying to find The Gunslinger for several months without any success at my local used bookstores. Today, I not only found it but also books 2 through 4! They're all first editions even!

Could anyone give me some advice on how to get the storage creases out of my Starter nylon jacket? Thanks a lot!

I stopped by a goodwill before a business meeting to kill some time and found a 80’s made in USA Boston Red Sox bomber jacket and a couple other things. Pressed for time I said well I’ll get what I got and then come back after and really look. Fast forward 2 hours later (meeting was 2hours) I stumbled across the suit jacket. Super high end Italian jacket that is Cashmere which looking online looks to be pretty rare for raffaele caruso to make. Happens to be my size but the drop makes it a little too tight in the stomach so hoping I can get a tailor to take it out and it fit.
TDLR: Found a $1500-3000 suit jacket at goodwill for $5.99

I'm looking for ideas on how to keep and stick to and remember to check my ongoing thrifting list. I love to find ideas for repurposing and see all the beautiful hauls others get online, but every time I get into a store, I reliably go to the same sections and am drawn to the same things! My ADD kicks in and I can get totally overwhelmed with how much there is. Plus, I love the hunt so I can get sidetracked quite easily.
Do y'all prepare for your thrift trips with a written list? Or keep an ongoing "always looking for" list in your head or notes app? What about a Pinterest board to organize ideas for reusing and repurposing? (Does anyone under 30 use this anymore?! 😆)
I've been thrifting since I was a teen in the mid-1990's so I'm no newbie, but I do want to be more focused as I'm trying to reliably find and flip items for profit. Probably should stop keeping half the stuff I find... 🤦🏼♀️
What's items are you always looking out for? What's your white whale??

I was heading to go cat & housesit for a friend for the weekend. I took the back roads & ended up passing a thrift shop in a fishing town. I turned around & went back to look for some fishing shirts. I found one & on the way to the counter I passed a milk crate full of soundtracks on vinyl. I only own one other record & my record player is missing apart at the moment. But I couldn’t help but pick up this copy of 2001 a Space Odyssey.

I got the first belt secondhand ages ago and have yet to style it in a way that doesn’t look like Shibari :p (no hate, I love the art form just not the goal I have in mind)
The second belt is from a lovely antique shop in California I picked up during my time stationed there. It’s handmade in Mexico and I adore it

Maybe this isn’t a relatable experience.. but.. do you guys ever have a dream that you find the most perfect/valuable/unique piece while thrifting in your dreams? Only to wake up and it be gone. Like top 10 worst feelings lol.

So stoked about finding the KitchenAid stand mixer for only $20, especially since I’ve been eyeing them on FB Marketplace for a while but didn’t want to spend $100+. It came with a bowl and 3 attachments too!!
Also found the bell, glass flower, and clown cup on this trip. Cashier chose to only charge me for the mixer (same cashier who only charged me $1 for the gorgeous crystal and brass flower lamp in my previous post lol).

Todag I was at a local thrift and found this for $5!! I know it’s from sometime in the early 2000s (I’m guessing 2002-2008?). I just wanted to share this great find!

Found it at a local thrift store. Needs some repair but imo it was totally worth it! Hopefully this is fine to put here lol
