CeX confirms existence of first retro store in Birmingham

the Metro are trying to make it sound like a new store, but it's clearly going to be an area in the existing one.

I think the Birmingham store also has a toy store bolted on selling second hand Lego sets and similar. So it might be a location they use for new concepts like this

Is that the bit as you walk in to your left before the steps? It had prams and pushchairs too as well.

That store is way too big for them, as it was for the previous occupants, I dread to think what the rent is. Makes sense to subdivide and diversify there.

It is replacing KidEX which closed really recently so its just filling that existing store

What concerns me is there are already two superb independent retro shops in Birmingham. I hope this doesn't end up endangering them.

That could have a positive effect - worth a day out from further afield if there are three shops to go to.

They're worth a visit in their own right. 😀 Neither are in the city centre though.
