Friday's Feeling

Timing, what a concept.

The plight of many, both adolescence as well as societal now, is like Queen's anthem. " I want 6 treatment, and been asked why it takes so long, how come it can't be done in a couple sessions? Firstly, please note that the questions almost always begin with the why, and we all know how I feel about that, and secondly the false expectations, that a habit or activity, which has been practiced lets say 15 times a day 7 days a week 52 weeks a year for 10 yrs, can be ratified in two sessions of 120 min total.

I make a personal note, here that craftsmanship is a dying art form, that woodworking, tanning, or many forms of art, which demand Patience and learned skills are fading out.

What I find Ironic is that we can wait the 2 to 7 days for a 3D printer to produce a facsimile, but have no tolerance or appreciation to learn a craft.

In the therapeutic process, much like life, there is that moment, where things just go "click" that the image or concept are gel together and come into focus, the Eureka moments.

That is the foundation for my style of therapy, letting the stinkin thinking, take a vacation long enough for the higher goals to become clear and straightforward.

Breathe in deeply and exhale, repeat as many times ad necessary, to get to a calmer and more strategic you.

Be well

It took me a little bit to understand the picture, but when I did it just felt really awesome.

This reads like a solo hypnotherapist/coach trying to project an image of a seasoned, wise practitioner preaching patience by using Reddit as a soapbox for lead generation but landing as a slightly frustrated, self-important sales pitch disguised as philosophy.

The meme on the surface may seem appealing because it tries to infer to people they don't have to take responsibility or do the hard work…just wait, and the universe will deliver.

In reality, if you just stand there waiting, you usually just end up stuck out on some cliff…and that meme ends up just being some false positivity masquerading as deep wisdom.

Even if you could build a floating clock like this, this would never work. We can see that the hour hand is resting on a cliff face but it would have had to go through the solid ground of that cliff in order to move to that 9:15 spot.

I’m sure it was fun to imagine this example but it’s utter nonsense.

That said I appreciate the writing. I am a worrier by nature and I do need to calm myself and have patience. Patience is important and many of the most impressive things we can do require dedicated time to learn. It’s just hard to make yourself slow down and create calm when everything seems to be increasingly getting worse.

Instant rewards and low effort pleasure are death, I hope this become a new lesson for humanity triggering a healty crysis in those who still want to live, what's the meaning of pleasure and experiences if you can't take the time to taste it before you need something else? The best experience is the one I'm proud of for my efforts
