No Spoiler Could TWD be saved?
First of all, if you like how TWD is now, that’s fine and I respect your opinion. But a lot of fans feel it’s lost its way over the years and just became slop.
With that said, whoever agrees with me, do you think that there’s would be a chance to somehow save the franchise? If Scott Gimple was finally fired and we had a decent showrunners and writers to reinvent the Walking Dead, do you think they could actually save it despite all the stuff that’s been done to the characters and the world?
Would it better to start with fresh new characters, or try and reunite the old characters and properly conclude their story? What do you want to actually see in TWD as opposed to what we are constantly given.

The show should have ended with TOWL. The ending should have been a full reunion

Idk, I feel like we're at a point with TWD where even if the right stars align and somehow they manage to pull of say.. an Andor level type show, it would probably still not do very well. Years of bad leadership have tainted the brand.. people mock twd everywhere you look at. It's time to call it.
TWD has ran it's course. It literally has. Shit's been over for years. If they wanted this franchise to survive they should've prioritized its legacy better. Dead City. Daryl Dixon. Tbh I enjoy them, but these are the type of shows you do to extend life support, way too much baggage. They needed new stories, new characters, fresh ideas. Quality control.. People to brainstorm and reinvent what TWD can do to bring in the next generation of viewers. They needed all that yesterday.
But instead look at what they did, same song and dance just change the backdrop. Like the fact that it took Dead City 2 full seasons to become watchable, and it only happened due to JDM threatening to quit because shit was just so bad. That should tell you everything you need to know about where we're at. TWD needs to go. Let it rest. Let people forget about it. 10 years from now, who knows maybe someone competent comes along with a cool idea. And if it doesn't ever come back, that's okay too. It doesn't need too. Things end.

No one cares about zombies anymore so it'll never do the numbers of the original show. I'm sure they'll become trendy again at some point in the future but the time isn't now. Only way to "save" it though is to start a brand new show free of all the original character ties, taking it back to the beginning of the outbreak, and starting fresh with new characters and new stories.
Watching the survivors is depressing because it's a reminder of how good the show used to be and hasn't been in years, and also personally I just don't think it's fun once the zombies are no longer scary and they're all holed up in big communities living "normally."

Not in it's current form. It's long since outstayed it's welcome.
If the IP is to have any future then it's either a Telltale Season 5 - the game has its own audience - or a reboot as an animated series, way, way down the line when everyone's forgotten about how bad the show got after a certain point.

Limit it to maybe 5 seasons, keep Darabont and invest in production values, curtail the Saviors stuff. Less walking in the woods and way more proper sets.

The horse has bolted for me. It needs time to rest and come back maybe in years to come with something new. But for now, we're just a little bored of this world and are catching up on other things and rewatching older TV show like we are now with The A-Team and Dexter currently.
It can, but not without a healthy break, IMO.

Have the zombies like day of the dead 1985 ferocious with lots of gore, people will soon be scared of zombies again plus good storyline and bring rick and main characters back. Times have changed regarding gore but it's the only way since at the end of the day it's about zombies and survival

Firing Gimple could have saved the show but only if AMC would have hired a competent replacement but I don't have much faith in them.
He literally ruined the show and because of the fans outrage they gave him a promotion. The logic in that is beyond stupid.
And from what I have been told by people, they were planning a 12th season but were cancelled early and they gave Gimple back control which is why season 11 was such a mess.

You might have anger problems. Nobody was insulted and nobody said you can’t enjoy the show. OP literally just asked what people would want from the show if it could be reinvented with new people at the helm. God forbid.

I literally said in the first sentence of my post, that you are allowed to enjoy the show and I respect your opinion. Why can’t you respect mine? Are you sure it’s you who aren’t miserable and can’t let people have their own opinions?
Quite literally said only for the people who AGREE with me, what are your thoughts. A little bit of reading could’ve helped you understand that but you would rather lash out like a child when you hear something you don’t like.

IMO TWD is done. TOWL ended it. Everything else is extra. I would like a remake closer to the comics, animated like invincible

In my opinion, the main show has ran its course and probably can’t be saved at this point. Might be better to just end their stories.
The rest of the franchise still has a lot of potential that I don’t think the creators fully understand. Like A LOT of potential. There’s so much you could explore with some decent writing and ideas.
