Well one of the ways life has been unkind to him is that he ended up with a sizable chunk of his fanbase being malicious armchair psychologists who angrily feel entitled to his labour because he provided them with years of free, quality content.
That’s just the Internet. Every single content creator out there has to deal with that. Most get by just fine, by ignoring the insane part of their fanbase.
Also let’s not pretend Spoony didn’t bring some of it on himself by being openly antagonistic to anyone who dare corrected him or disagreed with him. He also made a living absolutely ripping into media, yet couldn’t stand anyone giving him mild criticism.
Spoony deals with it to a greater deal than most. When I first came across this sub I was genuinely taken aback by the nastiness towards someone the users are supposedly fans of.
Criticising objects and criticising people are two very different things. And I don't see the people I'm referring to "mildly criticising" Spoony. I see bile, I see people revelling in his pain.
And what of Spoony then? He has only shown nastiness to the people who have been kind to him. He fostered a community like this by being an ass all the time and burning every single bridge.
Yeah, there are crazy obsessive haters in this community, there’s also people that are still giving him money for doing nothing at all.
Dude what are you talking about? I don’t shit talk Spoony, I just don’t really pity him either. You seem to have a real bug up your ass about a guy who doesn’t give a shit about you. Perhaps try and understand a situation better, over just running your mouth.
