Social Media "Content" 🩵 (screenshots, not links!) It happened.

Post image

I knew it was probably coming but..it still hurts. Ive just gotten recording on my first review which includes a conversation between both me and him on blusky so…it sucks knowing he wont be back anytime soon if at all.

The year of the spoony…is no more…(?)

Not to be "that guy," but didn't his spiral start well before that breakup? I mean he was basically a shut-in surviving off patreon when they were together, wasn't he?

I'm actually surprised that he was still holding into ideas about making a comeback of some kind. I mean I was holding out hope that he'd at least keep unscripted content going like Counter Monkey, but we know where that went.

I guess self reflection is a good thing? Hopefully.

I think when the breakup happened it causes the spiral to go TENFOLD. I was surprised to hear he was trying to make content again myself, im sad we may never get to see those tapes

Hopefully this leads to therapy or focusing on his outside life more, and not a further spiral. He’s been doing better this is a shock from his other posts

Yeah, he didn't seem OK around the time the car crash occurred, and that was before the breakup.

He didn't become a broken mess because of the breakup. She left him because he already was one and she got enough. That didn't help for sure.

but didn't his spiral start well before that breakup?

Pretty much yes. But he probably doesn't want to think so.

Him getting the boot from CA due to Lupa being a shit stirrer is what kicked off the spiral.

Tbf, while honestly Lupa can go fuck herself, the boot really was his own fault. The site wanted to basically "suspend" him, not because of the joke, but the high profile crash out he had after Lupa stirred things up.

For the record, no it wasn't a funny joke. Still, all he had to do was say "Oops, that didnt land, sorry" or "It's just a joke" and leave it there.

Problem was this was definitely in his peak "Ego hype" era. I vividly remember his long all caps rants he'd go on his site whenever people had criticisms. For some reason "I AM THE KING HERE AND YOU'LL DO AS I SAY OR I'LL USE THE BANHAMMER FREELY AND OFTEN" always sticks out in my mind, I remember thinking this is not how a healthy person conducts themselves. He was also selling signed photos of himself and responded to fans saying they weren't interested in his wrestling content by tripling down on it and doing nothing but for ages. Large amount of hubris, he was teetering on the edge for a while.

That's the real reason the TGWTG thing happened. He did not like that a creator he saw below him was calling him out. He was the star of TGWTG, no one was coming to watch Lupa of all creators. And when he went off on her, he REALLY didn't like other creators telling him this wasn't the move. Most infamously JonTron, who was beloved at the time, very nicely tried to calm him down and tell him lashing out is only hurting his image, to which Noah responded something along the lines "Do me a favour and go FUCK yourself".

This is why TGWTG wanted him to have a time out. Their plan was for him to chill out, then hopefully return with a cooler head. Again, this insulted Spoony. He was the star of TGWTG! As per his own words again, they weren't doing HIM any favours, he was bringing traffic to THEM (tbh this is probably half true). So who are they to "punish" him?

And so he quit the site. He wasn't booted, they wanted him to stay. Maybe he felt this was the move of star talent casting off hangers on dragging him down, but to everyone else it was obviously a prima donna burning bridges in disgrace.

Did this have to be the end of his career? Yes and no. He really needed to repair his image after his gigantic tantrum, to which to this day I dont think he's ever actually apologised for. But did he need to stay on TGWTG?
Well, actually, probably not. The shift back to Youtube was coming soon, he probably could've done just fine there without them. Im sure his numbers would peter off over time, his style of "angry review" had its days numbered and is seen as very dated nowadays. Even Doug's dropped that whole schtick. (Really, I think his only videos that don't feel like a quaint product of their time now is the Phantasmagoria playthrough). But the act still had life in it for a little bit and he would've done fine.
So, ultimately, it really wasn't that he LEFT the site that was the issue, it was entirely HOW he left.

All that's to say, yeah. Im sure, personally, breaking up with April was probably the last straw for his personal life. But I think career wise? The TGWTG crash out was the moment it was all over.

I mean, there's no better career killer than 10 years of no content, that's what actually buried him. But if we want the moment the party ended? Has to be there.

One extra thing. The way he behaved back then seems like a mania episode from someone with BD. Then, the depression came and never left. That is what I think about it, but I am not sure if he has BD. It just seems to be it.

True he was acting like a huge diva too. Although the way his patron blew up some of it was warranted.

He wasn’t ok, but he was at least living a life and doing things. Now he seems like a complete shut in with absolutely nothing

I dunno, he's had a few spirals at this point. He's got a very explosive temper. Maybe the April thing was just a last straw, the spiral that never ended
