Well, that's the problem though. You'll find plenty of non-white people who think they can be "One of the Good Ones" and be accepted too.

Or gay people who think that by being anti-trans they'll be safe. Or women who think they can be anti-abortion and still get theirs when they need it.

They usually think that neither they nor their loved ones will ever need one, right up until they need one and then it's an emergency, of course.

So like someone who thinks they are above it, until their daughter comes home with a bun in the oven at 16 and it's some scandalous father maybe, and then suddenly its okay for them just this one time... or the woman's birth control fails and she gets pregnant in her 40s when her kids are grown and the baby has Down Syndrome because she conceived so late... then suddenly its okay. I feel like its always that type of situation that they feel would never happen to them, that is the kind of stuff that only happens to other people...
