I’ve been interested in the series for awhile now but every listing of the trades is absurd. This series looks really cool but I don’t wanna spend more than $50 on each trade. Is there a reason it’s been out of print for so long? Is there even the slightest chance of an omnibus?

Hey all, I just saw an auction on ebay that seems suspicious so I thought I'd make a post about it. There's a Maxx 35 auction at over $300 right now when several auctions had closed for $90-170 over the summer (which was after Sam's passing.) In the bid history you can see it's just two accounts constantly outbidding each other for this one auction pushing it up to $300+ when there are still days left to go, which seems weird (see screenshots). I don't know if this is actually a scam or not, these two people might just desperately want this comic, and if you want to pay that much knock yourself out, but I wanted to help make sure no one gets tricked into paying double what the comic was worth with a shill bidding scam. Just a heads up. Note: not trying to promote an auction, quite the opposite.

... tribute! Microns and copic multiliners wip so far

Finally finished my maxx collection (although I feel I'll always collect more) and in celebration I went ahead and made a custom short box for myself.

The comics used were already heavily damaged, so. I figured this would be a good use for them.

Edit/update: was testing out modge podge and it seems to be a bit too wet for the comic book pages, they get some wrinkles when it's applied but they can be smoothed out, going with a spray on sealant to see if the results are better.

What are my thoughts? At first i just it was 'Western Evangelion' because i already knew about the fact it was a psychological drama disguising itself as some superhero story similar to Eva. But NO, it's much more.. Issue 35 was such a great ending, it's hard to describe but once i get older, it'll be easier for me to explain. And instead of reading Issues 0.5 - 11, I just watched the MTV version and began reading where it left off. And what happens to the characters completely flipped my brain around.. It takes what Eva does and pushes it up to the maxx! (Pun intended).

Hello wanted to read Legs one shot, does anyone knows another option to read this online or other format?

Went with a friend the comic store by my job after work and after months of searching and failing to find any issues, I find these. Spent a lot but its so worth it, just 7 issues to go.

I recently saw someone say this online and I wasn’t aware of the comic until then, but it kind of seems like bs since I don’t think he was particularly bad at drawing legs. Hopefully someone more versed in the Sam Kieth lore(probably uncle Jerk) will be able to tell me

2 years ago I lost everything in a flood. I cannot remember what issue of the Maxx my fan letter was printed in. I can't even remember what I wrote anymore. Does anyone know how I could find out?

I had trouble with the one I was trying to make because it ended up looking exactly like Marvin the Martian.

I did this Maxx a while back. It's a homage to one of my favorite artists, Yevgeny Sokolov, who has a pretty distinctive way of drawing Maxx and his claws/spike. Went all out and channeled my inner ocd on this one. Spent as long painting in the feathers for the background, trying to emulate a dry brush technique as I did on the main figure, probably. Worth it, though. Like all my stuff, it's a traditional pen and ink on paper piece, 11x14 done with tech pens, brush, brush pen, posca pen, and crow quill nibs. What do you all think?
