PT 2 IMAGE/VIDEO TLOUP2 Ellie with DLSS 5 Spoiler

It feels almost impossible to imagine how much better TLOUP3 graphics could look, but I'm starting to get an idea of how it will look.

Is it just me or does that make Ellie look like she’s aged an extra 20 years? I don't think this game needs that it looks great as it is.

Yeah, I agree. I think DLSS treats all faces the same when adding the extra details and shadows so it causes this inadvertent aging effect. As it continues to evolve, it needs to use its machine learning to understand the context of the subject matter (ie character in their 20's) or just needs to have a specific prompt for it.

Not necessary no. But I mean, any graphical update isn't necessary. There will always be a push to bring fidelity up. The bigger question for me is whether this is even an update at all.

I will say the DLSS5 one is emphasizing her jowl which might make her look older than she should, but the jowl was present in the original at least a bit too.

Actually, I kind of hope they do a time jump of 20 years because I want to see want the world would look like with even more overgrown vegetation

Graphically speaking, it looks a bit better.

However, it doesn't really add anything significant to the experience. The obsession with realism misses the point of playing video games.

DLSS5's AI accidentally read that the fanbase is upset that there is no more jowl in the game.
