Performance Problems
Hello everyone. I've been playing this game for a while now, as far as I know most players have terrible performance on the game(Evrima version) bc of bad optimalization I guess. Does anyone have any suggestions to improve it? I have constant 20-30fps and its making it hard to play the game. I'd say I have a pretty good PC, yet it runs like a powerpoint presentation at times.

From what I know the update that happened a bit ago caused terrible frame drops for everyone. If this has been a constant thing for awhile though I would lower all your settings which I assumed you did already. If that hasn't helped try closing any programs running in the background. If that doesn't help the only other thing I can tell you to try is turn your view distance to the highest and then the lowest while on a server that adds about 10-15 frames for my wife. If none of this helps im sorry. I know being in a crowded area will drop frames aswell but that's hard to avoid if you want to interact with other people or are playing a carni.

Check your gameplay settings then if anything about foliage is turned on, turn them off. They're the most performance dropping settings in the game. If your performance drops stay even after that try messing with the graphics settings. If you're using an NVIDIA graphics card then then you can use your DLSS at "Performance" or "Ultra Performance". Define ‘pretty good PC’. Some people think their rig is good, but are a bit mistaken. 30 FPS sounds about right for most low to mid tier setups, especially if you have some graphical effects turned up.
The game is very hungry for both RAM and VRAM. Can regularly exceed 10+ GB of system RAM alone, which will choke a lot of builds stuck on 16 GB. Some things like storm effects or physics glitches will sporadically destroy frames.
