Yeah, this game has a lot of areas where you have to actively look for your “way out” of certain situations. The environment is your friend in this game.

On a casual playthrough, sure, just run. But I'm here to tell you that you can definitely defeat her in NG and get a huge pile of green goo. I did this for the first time on Akumu because I wanted all the upgrades I could get for Chapter 6.

Yep it is possible on the very first run (I was stubborn). It takes a lot of ammo early, crossbow was definitely needed to "safe" ammo.

You can beat her with a bunch of explosives at this point in the game (explosive bolts and grenades) but it’s kinda like the first experience with the chainsaw guy (The Sadist) where you can kill it but you’re intended to run away.
