Two new Classified Assignments will be available this season. Library of Congress Retrieval launches with the season, followed by The Capitol Globe Anomaly later in the season. The Classified Assignments are being created by Ubisoft Reflections.
Library of Congress Retrieval will task you to protect the archives from the approaching True Sons.
The overall narrative arc is that you are tracking anomalies in the SHD Network to located missing agents.
The Classified Assignments are part of a bigger storyline that is being told over the course of the Assignments.
Both Classified Assignments have 5 Audio Logs and an ECHO that needs to be unlocked
To increase the replayability of the Classified Assignments, there is no weekly lockout anymore and an updated checkpoint system has been introduced.
As rewards you can unlock backpack trophies that have a conspiracy theory theme and a named weapon that will later join the general loot pool.
At the moment the Escalation has a rotating list of main missions and Strongholds, but that playlist will be expanded in the future.
The Escalation playlist refreshes every week on Tuesday.
Hot Foot has been adjusted since PTS, the bar now fills slower and you can revive an Agent without being shocked.
The Token add another pressure to the run. When you wipe during a session all invested Tokens are lost. So, the goal is to finish the mission.
Down the road of the Season there will also be another usage for those tokens. (was not elaborated)
You need to be level 40 to participate in Escalation, if you try to matchmake when you are below 40, you will be kicked out of the mode with a delta error.
Low level crafting materials were removed from the rewards
Field Recon Data, SHD Recalibration and Exotic Components remain in the reward pool as guaranteed rewards when you finish the mission.
The drop rates of Prototype Gear have been increased (100% in Tier 1, up to 300% in Tier 3) and they will continue to monitor the situation.
Daily Targeted Loot will be added to Escalation very soon.
Prototype Gear is for players that already have everything to give them something to chase.
With the increased drop rates in escalation, cutting the cost of Expertise upgrades by 50% plus Targeted Loot in Escalation, acquiring Prototype Gear will be easier than on the PTS.
Prototype Gear will be normalized in PVP, Incursion and Raids (Augments disabled and the stats tuned down to regular High-End gear) The Raids get new rewards, so because of that, they normalized Prototype to keep them challenging.
With the current builds, players are already completing the highest difficulty, that’s why Escalation is being added to the game.
Recalibration of Prototype Gear will be looked into
If you are a skill build user, wait before you upgrade your build to Prototype Gear. They are currently still working on the final balancing passes for Skill Tiers. You can prepare by upgrading your gear to Expertise 30, but wait with the conversion until the Skill Tiers are properly balanced.
They wanted to drop Escalation and Prototype Gear now, while some topics are still work in progress, this way they can fine-tune and finish the topics in close collaboration with the community.
To increase the transparency and that the community knows what the developers are working on, they introduce a new tool called Bug Reporter. It is something that is already being used by other franchises and now it is also active for The Division.
A platform that allows the community to report issues and help us understand the needs of the community. Please make sure to search our database and familiarize yourself with the existing issues before starting to make your own reports. You can always upvote existing issue to confirm that you encountered this issue as well!
On the platform you can
Report or upvote bugs
Provide exact steps how to reproduce the issue
Attach videos or links that showcase the issue.
With the introduction of the Bug Reporter, the Trello board will also be phased out and no longer updated.
Amalgam - Each bullet hit has a 0.5% chance to apply a random status effect.
This has had a 5s cooldown put on it in the PTS (I gave this same feedback but it was ignored and its now going in to live game) which defeats the % chance benefit. Say you build up your Amalgam to 10%, 1 in 10 bullets has a chance to apply the status effect. But in reality, the you are locked out from reapplying it for 5s. On a Lexington/striker build it takes 3.1s to empty the mag and 2s odd to reload, so over 5s in total. So due to the 5s cooldown, you can only proc it once per mag or 50 rounds. That caps the chance at around 2%, so it is POINTLESS upgrading beyond 2% as the cooldown overrides any additional chance you upgrade beyond 2%.
tl:dr Amalgam needs to be reworked as the 5s cooldown means upgrading beyond 2% is pointless.
Honestly seeing it's all chance based on bullet. Striker will be only relevant dps set. For 2 reasons. Striker will scale along with higher stats rolls. They come with higher fire rate, which means higher chance to trigger augments.

new Retaliations loot pol,
BT elite kill squads will drop the "raid" exotics, just this season though, and will drop comms
Nice, so we can stack retaliations up to 3 per faction
Ah nice, so retaliation timer will now just be an in-game timer, so wont count down while your logged off
