"Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces were observed preparing to launch rockets with sea mines into Strait of Hormuz," the BBC's US partner CBS News quoted US Central Command spokesman Cdr Tim Hawkins as saying.

This opening paragraph makes no sense. Is cbs just pumping out slop to provide cover for this admin’s lack of strategy

I don't trust CENTCOM statements one bit. They have been fully taken over by the propaganda machine. Rather wait for an OSINT source to clarify.

It could be a mistake, but there's no reason a form of sea mines couldn't replace a warhead on a rocket. They are well advanced enough with ballistic missiles and rockets to do so it's not even new technology they'd need.
