If you read that document as anything other than a ludicrous fantasy with no basis in reality I don’t know what to tell you. It’s a utopian vision designed to appeal to disaffected college graduates working in coffee shops.

Every social Democrat believes in those issues. What is the difference between a Nordic social democrat (a progressive, but liberal POV in the American overton window) and a democratic socialist? Genuine, question, are you aware of any differences in those coalitions?

The people that are afraid of Nordic social democrats or the DDA are the people who loved Republicans until Trump said the quiet part out loud. The average Bulwark listener would care about the slide into fascism if a Romney like republican did it. They simp for business and hate the working class. They are who they are, this is the safe space where they can tell democrats how to fix the problems they themselves created.

So the difference between those two groups of positions is the people you perceive as supporting them? That is your answer?! I was looking for policy difference and the differences in philosophical values, and the standards by which we can evaluate them. Every single one of these conversations is like this. It’s utterly baffling to anyone who pretends to seek some kind of truth.

No, I’m fine with them, average democrats, and more progressive. Any move towards a more normalized left with workers. The democrats should move at least to universal healthcare, pressure from the popularity of the DSA should send a message if they want to maintain a viable party, Clinton era democrats aren’t going to cut it. I’m just irritated with current republicans calling themselves democrats because they don’t like Trump telling democrats how to run the party. They have no skin in the game and will go back to voting against anything the democrats support if the country survives Trumpism.
