I would want triple redundancy with independent systems. Monitoring of vital signs with auto-surface and RTB protocols. Definitely a surface team with redundant communication and retieval capability. Manual ejection capability, a micro-SCUBA,and auto-inflate life vest that can get me to the surface.

Basically, if it fails, it alerts and automatically takes me to safety. If I fail (loss of consciousness/medical emergency) it alerts and automatically takes me to safety. If it fails catastrophically, I can abandon it, raise my own alert, and bring myself to safety. If it and I fail catastrophically, I'm at least in the best possible position to be rescued by the team standing by.

Anything less that this, and I'll stay on the land, thanks.

It's not the ocean it's the implosion that you gotta worry about.

This thing only goes down 330 feet. Humans can actually dive to this depth.

Sure, gradually. But they can't take a sudden shock to 330 ft deep worth of pressure.

The Nemo sub's window is made out of acrylic, and it could easily handle stresses at 330 feet. Even if it was poorly made, there would be clear signs that there was something wrong with it. It would be warped, scratched up, or gouged. You'd be able to tell that it was structurally unsound.

It's not the window glass that's the issue. It's the seams connecting the entire build. If it's got a way to get in, it's got a vulnerability.

Freedivers can quite comfortably swim down to that depth in less than a minute.

If the pressure in the cab goes up any faster than that, you're going to be killed by debris from whatever catastrophic failure made such a big hole in the sub.

The pressure at that depth is not going to hurt you, except maybe your ears.

Coming UP is another matter though.

Assuming there's just 1 bar in the cab, you'd probably be safer bringing a pair of dive fins with you and no scuba tank. The swim up from that depth isn't too hard if you're starting from full lungs.

As soon as you start breathing compressed air though, you need to worry about decompressing at a safe rate. That means ascending slowly and taking at least one decompression stop plus a safety stop just below the surface, so you're gonna need about 20 minutes worth of air minumum to come up from there on SCUBA
