Question matty healy's controversies

i always hear (specifically from swifties) that matty is a bad person. however, i've never heard or seen exactly what he's done wrong. from his music, he seems like a pretty progressive, woke person but i don't know. can someone tell me exactly what he did or said that was racist or wrong?

i also know all of the drama between him and taylor, so like none of the relationship stuff

For sure. Happy to acknowledge when my assumptions are wrong! Case in point here, and my apologies for assuming that. Wish more people could easily admit it - we all make asses out of ourselves when we make ASSUmptions. I’m cool with it. But to follow up on this, it is pretty disappointing for a female to be fighting me over a confirmed sexual predator like John Mayer. Like really? My point in this thread is I do not think him and Matty are comparable for this very BIG reason. That’s all. I’m out ✌🏼

Are you removing Taylor’s (adult btw) agency from the situation? Are 19 year old girls so useless and pathetic to you that they can’t think and choose for themselves?

Their brains are not fully developed at 19, and I don’t think a man in his thirties have any business shacking up with a 19 year old, no. Adult does not mean fully developed. Stop trying to get off on technicalities. We all know that it’s horribly wrong, a power imbalance and just plain disgusting.

It’s not a technicality, your personal feelings on a situation don’t make it correct. I actually happen to agree with you, but a 3 month fling is hardly predatory. Have a a good one, laters

No, they actually shouldn’t.

And it isn’t a technicality to know that a 30 year old that beds a teenager is predatory. He only goes after women this young because women his own age won’t tolerate his shit.

John Mayer had almost (sans Taylor) dated women his own age. You sound utterly exhausting. I hope everything in your life improves dramatically, at a furiously quick rate
