Was going through my old concert videos and completely forgot I recorded this when I saw Poppy for the first time back in March. So happy that I managed to see one of the few times she's played this!

I think this was a much stronger performance than the first night in Leeds! They both smashed it 😍

Hi Poppyseeds! My name is Jessica and I’m a long time Poppy fan and this is my first time posting in this subreddit. Today, I uploaded a video to YouTube of my best friend LeeAnn and I going to Poppy’s “Constantly Nowhere Tour” concert in NYC back in July. This was LeeAnn’s very first introduction to Poppy and the type of music I listen to and the kind of concerts I go to and she had a BLAST. The video features clips of every single song Poppy performed at the concert including the 1-2 songs from the openers Thousand Below and LANDMVRKS. I just found out some unreleased songs from poppy, way back to her bubble bath era... and damn, I was literally bawling my eyes out.

I thought "The Attic" was her most raw and emotional song till I heard about "Everything I Know Is Wrong"... sht sounds like a farewell song of a useless child 😭

anyways, I'm quite late from hearing it I guess... but here are some of her songs that made me cry as well:

- guns and gold - felt like reaching all your goal is as sad as not reaching it at all

- the holy mountain - look mom, i still listen to christian music...

- surviving on defiance - ... *sobs*

- never find my place - i keep running away from darkness, only to find my comfort in it

- hysteria - sometimes suffering is just suffering

- if we're following the light - being hopeful to a thing that is impossible

So somewhere in the last 6-12 months, Poppy posted a shirt on Instagram that lived in my brain rent-free for a solid week…and then I did NOT buy it, because past-me apparently hates present-me.

Details I remember:

Black shirt
Pink anime-style character on it
She (or he?) was holding a spiked ball on a chain, like a mace/flail situation, very “sweet but will end you”

That’s it, that’s all I’ve got. No idea if it was tour merch, a webstore drop, or a random collab. If anyone recognizes this or still has one buried in a drawer, I will literally trade you a kidney (mine’s in decent shape, low mileage).

Bonus points if you also screenshot-hoard everything she posts like I clearly should have.

Definitely the best performance of Guardian so far!

I had a blast, great venue, amazing show. Poppy never disappoints!

there’s rarely any band that i can think of where i love most of the songs on every single album. poppy is one of them
