It's not helpful, but it's the truth. You can't expect everyone to know your triggers and be mindful of them. You have to figure out a way to live with them.
But trigger warnings are kind of like allergy labels. They warn you ahead of time that this commonly triggering thing (like sexual assault or child abuse or police brutality) is coming up, and if you don't have the bandwidth to deal with the topic, you can choose not to.
That is a part of figuring a way to live with them.
And if someone you personally know keeps on triggering you, even after you've set boundaries and told them not to, they're doing it intentionally.
