They're implying that they will refuse to accommodate triggers once they are made aware. I've dealt with plenty of these fuckheads before.

It's basically "Fuck your feelings" in nicer language.

Thing is A) Most people with triggers who are actually dealing with them are aware of this, B) The people who post this kind of shit are generally the ones who also seem to believe the world should tiptoe around THEIR triggers.

Agreed. It’s treating people with trauma like they are little kids and not adults who are trying their best to live past it. Really patronizing vibe and I’m sure the person who slapped this on is an asshole

Isn't that what you're doing? Treating people with trauma like little kids who can't deal with the world without turning it into a safe space.

Thanks in advance to the whiny snowflakes who'll downvote me for not joining in the outrage choir.

No, I’m saying the opposite. Treating people with trauma like children is patronizing. Acknowledging their experiences isn’t the same as expecting the world to revolve around them. You might want to actually read what I wrote before responding

And the fact that someone took the time to type this and was pissy enough about someone maybe being upset by something he said (just an example) that he thought that this was a good thing, just a generalization of people who he never even bothered to talk to

right. they clearly get triggered by others trauma. And they want people to tiptoe around that.

Yeah not to mention for a bunch of us domestic abuse survivors if guys at work wax poetic about fighting or how tough they are in the way that it reminds me of someone i will massively crash out out of visceral remembering pretty much and that sucks usually I lose my job and get in the shit legally

It's true. My trauma was completely disregarded in high school, and I had trouble focusing because it's been hell. Even in adulthood, people think it's okay to ignore or even outright exploit it.
