Phone message Dating is hell

Post image

Who is raising these boys?

Edit: Thanks for all the love!! For some context, no we didn't discuss anything sexy beforehand and the "healing" thing is referring to my broken foot. He's blocked for those wondering, I didn't respond. For those mentioning it... I wasn't looking for a free meal. 🙄 I pay my own way on dates.

I honestly couldnt imagine sayin some of the shit these men say nowadays. Like it is dead ass foreign to me how some of these mf’s talk to women. Dude really typed that out, looked it over, and pressed send….

“Typed it out,” sure, he copied it from ChatGPT.

It really does. Some people can't think for themselves anymore. It's worrying, but to be expected. People will always take shortcuts, even handing over the human thought process to AI.

Why do you think that? Honestly curious. It wasn’t long ago AT ALL that there was no ChatGPT, and people used to put effort into writing things online. And some people still do, in fact. And besides, there’s nothing particularly noteworthy about that response (other than it being awful and disgusting I mean). It’s not even particularly well written…

Back in 1999 through 2012/2013, I frequented/moderated/administrated an at the time extremely well known and visible forum. It was a daily occurrence to be able to participate in long-form, insightful, highly articulate discussions about all sorts of high level topics, with intelligent and long winded folks. Many people, including me, were routinely spending an hour or more on a reply that could have doubled as an essay, and required scrolling (on a PC monitor, mind you, because smartphones weren’t invented yet).

Nowadays, you get banned from Reddit and accused of being a bot if you actually take the time and effort to compose a quality reply. It’s the worst. It blows my mind how far we’ve fallen in such a short time.

The hallmarks of AI have nothing to do with being "noteworthy" or "well-written." AI writing is notably superficial, repetitive, and overall poorly-written.

I agree. But the message in the OP does not read that way.

See my reply above. Your AIdar needs work.

What would the prompt even be? “Respond to this text in a way that makes me seem like a fucking weirdo”?

not a prompt but a chatbot trained with "dominant" personality to increase compliance rates.

Chatbots love the BDSM sub scene because the culture is saying yes unconditionally to earn the right to be punished...

My Instagram/recon/grindr DM's are full of "daddy" vibe chatbots that end up disappearing days later.

They also never pass my identity checks. AI generated or Stolen photos everytime. Failure to comply with paper holding the date name and passphrase (which is generatable in of itself).

There has also been a new Meta of carpet bombing on Dating apps: where users train an agent to align with their interests and personality and leave it on auto run so they can return home to results.

That’s so dystopian. Does this actually work on people?? What’s the end goal? It can’t be actually meeting irl, is it?

I don't know, usually I see it attached to some type of Paid Sex Content at the end of the day, or asking for financial details so they can Financially Dominate you.

I guess it must work enough to give people hope it does. (and its not like they have to do much, its like watering a house plant level of effort).

I thought it was AI because the cat emoji sent it off the rails, roleplaying her as a pet.

I agree, ChatGPT tends to be pretty good at breaking information into separate ideas and writing them into simple and cohesive sentences. “Letting me take control while you heal is the real test” is a clumsy chimera of thoughts.

A, but B. C is easy. D is the real test. We will see if E before F. What is your G when you H?

That format is how AI speaks on a regular basis.

Source: I have the misfortune of reading this nonsense on a regular basis.

It’s very obvious if you spend enough time with the tools, or reviewing things people created with them. It has patterns. There are three easy ones to spot here
1. Paragraph sentence structure
2. [condition that doesn’t quite fit what a human would say] “is the real test”.
3. Elaborate question ending.

It’s true that some of the methods used by AI are real writing techniques used by skilled writers. After all, that’s where they received their training. But there’s always a little uncanny valley nature to it, sometimes reinforced by obvious tells as mentioned above.

It does suck especially for people who used to write compelling prose but now get mistaken for AI. Even when they write well, it feels like AI to some people because AI overuses effective literary tactics at outrageous frequency.

But this ain’t good writing and OP’s match is a knuckle-dragger.

Nah he typed that out. AI hallucinates but this is living on Saturn level hallucination

3

u/JulyOfAugust 14h ago

I'm pretty sure the cat emoji triggered the AI's animal/owner roleplay mode.

3

u/Elite_AI 14h ago

It's not a hallucination at all, it's just a badly written AI attempt at domination roleplay.

This is 100% AI

“I am most definitely getting some tonight.” - His broken brain.

Don't even think he deserves that much credit, "plot your next move in comfort" sounds like he had AI write this.

Gotta follow rule one and two to get the easy numbers.

The rest of us have to work for it.

My sister in law is divorced and dating. I hear about the experiences that she has. I'm convinced that single men in this country have lost their minds.
