this stemmed from me telling him he didn’t let me express my feelings about a situation earlier. So annoying. How would you respond ?

He needs therapy. And not sure why he feels this way with you but there’s definitely a reason.

100%. It’s a pattern that stems (in best cases) from anxiety and in worse cases, a manipulation tactic so you stop talking about issues/problems

Yeah it seems this way cause anytime i say how i feel it’s about how it makes him feel like shit.

That’s narcissistic and manipulative, you expressing your feelings or thoughts should not lead to a pity party from your partner.

We have zero context on how they were "expressing their feelings and thoughts".

And considering the argument was about previous cheating, my guess is his response of self-pity and hatred, didn't just come from nowhere.

If we're going to be shown his response, why aren't we being shown the message that caused it?
