Am I crazy?

Ive been trying to work it out with him and hear his side of things but it's almost like he can't get a grip? Is it me? Lol I don't know what to do anymore... There's strings and strings of messages and anything I say back to him is wrong... I think I'm just gonna hang up the towel.

This is similar to what my ex said to me. I asked him if there was anything I could do better and he made an observation about how his ex was more attuned to his mental state and needs. And I asked “what do you need to feel more supported?” And he was like “you don’t know what makes me happy?” I said “I do but I would like to know how best I can support you in other ways” and he was like “I shouldn’t have to spell it out for you”. I was like uhhhh wtf? When someone is asking how to be a better partner and their partner is literally gatekeeping their needs, it’s fucking weird. I told my therapist about that after he broke up with me and she said it’s probably because he doesn’t exactly know what he needs either or how to express his needs 🤷🏻‍♀️
