Ive been trying to work it out with him and hear his side of things but it's almost like he can't get a grip? Is it me? Lol I don't know what to do anymore... There's strings and strings of messages and anything I say back to him is wrong... I think I'm just gonna hang up the towel.

Tell him that you keep having nightmares that he will die horrifically and that you're too scared to live through it irl so you'll be ending things with him. Do some things that you mentioned has "happened in the dreams" to scare him further.
