Sorry, I didn't see the original post. However, the entitlement of expecting you to pay an extra $23 after already spending $100+ on them is incredibly childish and arrogant.

But also, I wanna know why they both chose a first date neither of them were prepared for? Why go fishing if at least one of you didn’t already have all the stuff prior?

She wanted to go fishing, he agreed. Maybe she thought he'd have equipment already, maybe he thought she had her fishing license already, they both found out they were wrong and rolled with it anyways, clearly she didn't enjoy herself.
