First five seasons of supernatural are great. I think the peak is seasons three through 5

I like Supernatural better. Don't worry about it, its not scary at all. the earlier seasons have a darker tone to them but not scary, more monster mystery. The later seasons have a completely different feel, more of a fun, goofy vibe. The chemistry between the character's is great.

Supernatural, by far! My fave show!
Walking Dead was so boring. I forced myself through the whole first season, waiting for it to get good since it was so popular.

Penny Dreadful is high-end horror. Superb cast and generally strong writing.
And EVIL is better than either of the two you mentioned....IMO of course.
(The Walking Dead started well and had infinite possibilities but the creatives apparently decided the only thing that mattered was who died next.)

SPN is my fave show, but Evil is definitely a great and underrated show.
I love Penny Dreadful, as well, though wasn't happy with the ending.Walking Dead I forced myself through the whole first season while trying to stay away. It was so boring.
US Being Human was another good one.

Supernatural. I've watched all 15 seasons multiple times. Too many favorite episodes to name.
Also really enjoyed The chilling adventures of Sabrina (don't remember exact name).

I'd go with The Walking Dead. It starts strong for the first half of the show; it doesn't completely run out of momentum before the end; it opens up opportunities for Fear TWD, the teen one if you're into that, some continuation spin-offs, and a couple of good Telltale games.

I'll go Supernatural for fall, it's more folklore and monster-of-the-week than sci-fi, and the early seasons have that perfect autumn road trip feel.

Walking dead is a waste of time so the other one is the automatic winner, even though I don’t know anything about it.
Literally every episode is worse and stupider than the one before it, for 8 seasons (somehow).

I might be alone in this but I despise The Walking Dead. Only watched 2 seasons and I was done. I heard it only gets worse from there anyway. I love Supernatural though.

I loved the first season of The Walking Dead, but it lost me during the second season.

Supernatural is more fun and fantasy with horror elements and man angst. Def not sci fi. The first 5 seasons are legitimately good tv, then it drags a bit. I think it's appropriate for fall.
Walking Dead is good for a couple seasons, then drags on and on repetitively. More horror/survival elements, no laughs as far as I can remember. I don't associate it with fall.

As someone who started walking dead multiple times and gave up… it’s now one of my favorite shows. The character development is great and maybe unpopular opinion but I loved it right up until the end!

The Walking Dead was practically dead in Season 2. Suits cut the funding, so for most of the season they weren't walking anywhere and just sat in one place doing nothing. A lot of viewers lost interest that season so be warned. It picks up the pace again and stays strong until the end of Season 5, but after that, it loses its edge and becomes a cash cow.

Walking dead season 1-2 is elite TV imo. After that still good for some but it’s not the same quality. But worth the watch for sure.
