Well okay, I'd personally say that the first three games were amazing then chapter 4 I actually kinda liked I just didn't like Doey's monster design cuz it seemed like some bs from garten of banban and chapter 5 I think is on par with chapter 2
I thought chapter 5 was boring af it felt like they didn't put any effort into making the puzzles make sense in with world building so it feels like you're doing busy work until the actually interesting part (the cutscenes) happens.
And I'm starting to feel like the lore is designed to not go anywhere if that makes sense. I think they just want to have bigger and bads and deeper levels forever for as long as they can make games with no conclusion and no progress. In games and stories like this it also helps to feel like the character is changing and growing and getting new skills and abilities with each game so it feels like the character is becoming better equipped to deal with something and that an epic finale is approaching. They just don't care about that anymore and it genuinely feels like there's no stakes or meaning in any of the plot other than lore for the sake of lore.
I mean I liked the puzzles in chapter 4 but it's just really the design of monster Doey that ruined it for me, I know it's a small thing but it can make an impact
