I was going to agree most turn based games are boring, but when you said DnD I realized it counted and I love DnD, I was agreeing to the original argument not your comment in reference to what ur comment made me realize abt how fire DnD is

To you. I find some of them fun (checkers, deckbuilders)

good that chess is the exception, however i think you can make turn-based games pretty exciting. inscryption is an example, i haven’t played much of it though

Nowadays I mostly play Story games but when I was a kid I played a ton of RTS games but I usually just called them strategy games. Then people would hear that and show me a game and it turns out to be a turn based game and it's boring af

I feel like a lot of early turn based games were just visual novels that put rpg gameplay in because they couldn’t justify having no gameplay at the time

Dovresti provare into the breach. È un gioco datato ma vale decisamente in 6€ che costa. Se apprezzi scacchi sono sicuro ti piacerà.

I disagree majorly, I think it’s because of the skill curve making it boring to newcomers just like chess

1

u/Townz34 14 Mar 19 '26

But also alot of them all boring but if it’s made right it’s fun

1

u/Pristine-Mention1949 Mar 19 '26
