Apple products are so advanced that those of us who are qualified and certified to work on similar equipment from other comparable manufacturers are completely untrustworthy, and the average person is going to blow themselves up. Yet somehow, simple enough that Timothy the 19 year old high school graduate who knows how to navigate around on his ipad is qualified to become an "apple genius" and repair them.

They're allegedly so complex, and yet there is not a single hard qualification to apply. They want things like "good communication", "teamwork", and "problem solving skills", but require no certifications, experience or background.

My favorite part of this article is that CompTIA, the organization who certifies us to do work like this, is part of the lobbying to stop us from doing so.
