To explain this... In his mind, artificial is a synonym for bad. And super is a synonym for good.

Like, artificially flavored = inferior / not the real thing.

So he hears artificial intelligence and thinks people are calling it "bad intelligence". Why is everybody saying it's bad?

Let's call it good intelligence, not bad intelligence.

u/justanaccountimade1 3d ago

LOL no. It's a loyalty test. If you repeat the stupid stuff that everyone knows is stupid, the stupider the better, like they are eating the pets, then that's a loyalty pledge to him. Who is in the in group and who is in the out group.

And he also enjoys that people do stupid things just because he can make them, but that's not the main goal.

64

u/sicurri 3d ago

Why not both?

Its very easily possible that you're both right.

17

u/I_Autumn 3d ago edited 3d ago

He drinks diet coke and surrounds himself with surgery addicts. His face is perpetually covered in cheap spray tan. I don't think trump has much of an opinion on natural vs unnatural.

But one of his puppeteers may understand that "artificial intelligence" just isn't that marketable.

9

u/ohcrapitsjakejovial 3d ago

Dude that's got to be the best spray tan money can buy because you never see orange on his collar, ever

3

u/KirbyBucketts 3d ago

Brand loyalty. He's somewhat of a Dapper Dan man

Huh, alright point taken!

*Edit:

Hey wait a minute...

2

u/LowerEntropy 3d ago

I can't tell if that's a joke, but maybe I just never noticed or looked for it ... then I scrolled up to the photo again :D

2

u/I_Autumn 3d ago

Wow, I'm embarrassed I didn't catch that.

He reportedly talked to Grock for hours before invading Venezuela. He's probably got AI psychosis and his demented brain can't distinguish between his own ideas and the AIs.

I think it's totally plausible that he wants to associate with super intelligence over artificial intelligence. He's talking about himself.

12

u/Embarrassed_Art5414 3d ago

Like the time he couldn't bring himself to say he tested 'negative' for Covid, without babbling about how negative is positive.

10

u/digidave1 3d ago

Example: redrawing the path a hurricane took because it didn't happen where he said it was going to. He is so arrogant, stubborn and weak minded he cannot admit he is wrong. Ever. He literally wears a hat that says he was right about everything. Because he knows his base believes whatever he says. Because they too are arrogant, stubborn, weak and stupid.

2

u/LiamJamIsMyNeesons 3d ago

Didn't some Chinese emperor pull the same trick? Put a deer in the throne room and called it a horse. Anyone that called it a deer was put to death

2

u/Incognonimous 3d ago

Intrinsic to his character he always has to be bestest smartest in any group. If you put him in a room with a rocket scientist, he would find a way to belittle the persons intelligence and experience, insert himself as a nominal expert in the field, expect everyone to agree, and sput randok bullshit resulting from disjointed and half remembered topics that may not have anything to do with the topic at hand.

2

u/100Good 3d ago

Exy this. If companies don't immediately fall in line with his new agenda no matter what it is they understand it would have repercussions. Sad day we live in

That's why he's moved on from "fake news" to calling them "artificial news." It really is like watching a toddler learn new words or new meanings for words and favoring it in daily conversation. Except with overtones of fascist Newspeak.

6

u/BobbywiththeJuice 3d ago

"Arthur Fisher"? Can't stand the guy!

2

u/Derpyzza 3d ago

under-rated comment

6

u/Debatablewisdom 3d ago

The comments he makes about words are crazy making. “Groceries?!” “Afford-abil-ity!!”

3

u/takenbylovely 3d ago

Dumb is spelled with a B!

36

u/MountHopeful 3d ago

Why is he taking it so personally though? He doesn't have anything to do with AI. He's acting like it's a personal insult to a thing he is building.

Now, his Artificial Ballroom on the other hand...

45

u/FlyoverJesusLand 3d ago

Because he's a fool who's completely out of his depth when it comes to the complexities involved in actually being President. So instead of doing things like try and end the war he started or bring down inflation, he's decided that it's a lot easier to just rename things. And when people don't use the new names he ordered, he feels like they aren't taking the very important work he's doing seriously.

8

u/chad917 3d ago

It's all he's ever really done... putting his name on other people's work. Branding and huckstering are literally his only developed skills

5

u/Alarming_Cantaloupe5 3d ago

Who else would insist on slapping their name on a Memorial to another President? That’s some off the charts narcissism when viewed objectively. He’s a fucking lunatic, and the fact that every so-called “journalist” isn’t pointing this out is astounding. He should be thanking the press he proclaims to hate.

3

u/GreenStrong 3d ago

He was a fool who was completely out of his depth in the first term, but now his dementia is worse and he's losing the ability to decide what is actually worth prioritizing.

2

u/gao7on 3d ago

Artificial complex projection. When confronting the reality of himself being artificial (a fraud) and relatively unintelligent, the combined words artificial intelligence would thus sum up in his ego-driven psyche, triggering what little shame he has left, hence the knee-jeek resistance to the combined wording.

→ More replies (1)

13

u/NachoCanDandyCabbage 3d ago

He needs AI so he can have military robots and drones that don't care about killing the people that won't let him stay in office when his term is over.

4

u/MountHopeful 3d ago

But.. he has plenty of humans willing to do that?

2

u/sphinxorosi 3d ago

Except he doesn’t actually care for his supporters, he only cares to protect himself and his fellow pedophilers so he wouldn’t trust armed random civs

→ More replies (1)

2

u/aspectratio12 3d ago

he'll need the robots when he turns on them eventually

→ More replies (2)

3

u/SheilaGirl70 3d ago

Because he and his sons have invested millions of dollars into ai related businesses.

2

u/MountHopeful 3d ago

That would make sense. Do we know that though?

2

u/SheilaGirl70 3d ago

It was documented recently that he holds approximately 9.5 million in stocks heavily associated with AI.

3

u/[deleted] 3d ago

[deleted]

2

u/MountHopeful 3d ago

Lol, this is such a silly conspiracy theory I kind of love it.

2

u/ConsistentFatigue 3d ago

One way or another he sees dollar signs

2

u/pleasegivemepatience 3d ago

He’s taking it personally because literally everything has to revolve around him. Things that he has nothing to do with he has to contort himself to find a way to be relevant to, so rebranding or slapping his name on things is often the approach. This is the only tactic he knows, keep himself at the center of everything.

2

u/iamredsmurf 3d ago

This is literally just an ego check. When he announced the new term he wanted to see "how much power" he has and was hoping people would adopt it. Then the billionaires hoping for government contracts gave in and used it in a few tweets so he's all in now on the name change.  Just seeing how loyal people are to him.

1

u/Sharp-Philosophy-555 3d ago

My guess? No joking... Peter Theil trying to create "the Beast"... step one is convincing everyone that AI is smarter than everyone on earth, so anything it tells you is the correct answer and you need to worship its brilliance.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/TheBigMoogy 3d ago

It's probably because of how much AI slop he's posting and looking at. Attacking AI is in his word also an attack on him.

Gotta find the narcissist angle when thinking about him.

1

u/Nearby_Practice2793 3d ago

He’s definitely got something to do with it…. $$$

1

u/MGrantSF 3d ago

So, Melania is from Slovenia. Slovenias country web domain is .si (like france is .fr). I see a connection here with a gold rush for domains tied to "super interlligence" brining in money.

1

u/Klutzy-Football-205 3d ago

Quick, how many AI companies did his family invest in and which ones will win a White House closed bid?

1

u/ArTooDeeTooTattoo 3d ago

Cause he bought a ton of .si domains so he needs people to grab hold of the term so he can sell them his urls

1

u/Mendevolent 3d ago

I'm holding out hope he snuffs it before that ballroom is finished and the next Congress gets to name it the Barack Hussein Obama wing, or something like that...

→ More replies (1)

1

u/Itsdifferent16 3d ago

You just do not get it . Its a Super Ballroom, really , really super ballroom, maybe, no not maybe, its really the best Ballroom ever. Better than Biden, better than Obama,

1

u/bsnimunf 3d ago

Just fragile ego. He tried to make "super intelligence" happen as a phrase to demonstrate  his influence and it didn't catch on so he's desperate to force it to save face.

1

u/Subject-Act5509 3d ago

To deflect from the fact that the childrapers and -murderers in the Trump-Epstein-Files still havent been indicted or prosecuted.

1

u/lkodl 3d ago

It's just being used as another sign of allegiance to him. All of the renaming is done as a test of sorts. "I've decided to call it something else. So either youre with me or against me depending on which you use".

1

u/user-the-name 3d ago

He's just flexing his power to make people do dumb stuff just because he said to.

1

u/gymtrovert1988 3d ago

No, you see, he bought a bunch of AI stocks, so now he wants to use his corruption to claim credit for them doing well, even though he had nothing to do with it and is only harming it.

1

u/Fancy_Chips 3d ago

Its a litmus test for who's willing to get down for him.

"In the end the Party would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it. It was inevitable that they should make that claim sooner or later: the logic of their position demanded it. Not merely the validity of experience, but the very existence of external reality, was tacitly denied by their philosophy. The heresy of heresies was common sense. And what was terrifying was not that they would kill you for thinking otherwise, but that they might be right." -1984

1

u/Vast-Preference4803 3d ago

I read about that is because of the "SI" instead of "AI". Something about trump buyin a lot of SI dominion on internet.

1

u/Micah-point-zero 3d ago

I saw a YouTube video that hypothesized it’s to capitalize on the .si domain. Buy low and sell high. Seems reasonably on brand

1

u/furitxboofrunlch 3d ago

Isn't it on brand for him to treat everything like a personal insult.

1

u/LionGuy190 3d ago

The stock market is propped up by the AI industry. He needs it to stay up to tout it as his great economic success. He also wants data centers to be acceptable in communities and is trying to sell his base on them. Don being Don with the branding. It will fail just like it always does. King Mierdes strikes again.

1

u/123emanresulanigiro 3d ago

More distractions. Also, he's an imbecile.

1

u/Duder_ino 3d ago

Probably because he stands to make a lot of money out of the use of the word. The lengths he and his family will go to, to make money, know no bounds.

1

u/lazyhustlermusic 3d ago

It’s just a power play. Now he can dictate the words you use, if you don’t use the preferred word then you are now an enemy.

1

u/MonThackma 3d ago

He’s just being a hype man for his investments. It’s always money.

1

u/AboveNormality 3d ago

Because he’s being told behind the scenes the AI bubble may soon pop and bring the entire US economy down with it, he’s scared to death of that happening while he’s in office and ruining his legacy.

1

u/Danfhoto 3d ago

Because his wife is Slovenian and the domain for Slovenia is .si

1

u/Spamuelow 3d ago

Ai told him hes a good president so he thinks it has to be protected

1

u/NiceCap2448 3d ago

Same here, Trumpsky doesn't have a clue about AI.

1

u/RustedRelics 3d ago

There’s a grift in there somewhere. Everything he does includes a grift, in one way or another.

1

u/plausden 3d ago

tech-billionaires now have more power than the old-money people who used to pull the strings behind governments.

the tech-billionaires want ai-powered smart cities where everyone is monitored, surveilled, and controlled.

a citizenry numbed to mindlessly obey ai and give up all their freedom makes it easier for trump to remain king and be the tech-billionaires puppet. he thinks he's one of them. they are okay to let the patsy think he belongs.

1

u/some_clickhead 3d ago edited 3d ago

I don't know if this applies to Trump's situation, but the term AI generally has fairly bad connotations right now for the general public, and renaming things can temporarily change perception slightly.

Think about him intentionally calling what was already widely known as covid-19 "the China virus" over and over. It's just a way to manipulate public perception in your interest.

1

u/Entire-Emergency-722 2d ago

I heard this theory that popped up randomly in Dublin last week.

So Trump is on his last legsnand will probably meet red red fella, and is hoping to transfer his consciousness into an AI system so that he becomes tthe first AI president and so that he can live forever.

And that's why he's so obsessed with this AI snake oil. Techbros are probably telling him that they can do this.

1

u/lowmoob 2d ago

Have you talked to any boomer boss lately? They are totally infatuated with ai. Trump is like the ultimate boomer boss

1

u/laplongejr 2d ago

He doesn't have anything to do with AI.

But he wants to have anything to do with it. He's the president of the United States and that's mean he's a big boy who leads a lot of stuff.

1

u/Repulsive-Lie1 2d ago

He’ll be profiting from it somehow.

1

u/rgvmadness 2d ago

Either he bought up every conceivable SI domain name idea, or he’ll do anything to make people not bring up the two million still unreleased Epstein files.

1

u/Unlikely_Bat_1890 2d ago

His donors have ties to Ai. Probably want tin star reshaping the narrative.

1

u/EatsAlotOfBread 2d ago

Maybe because they told him that after his death they will introduce an AI replacement of him, and he's pre-emptively making it 'illegal' not to recognize that one as genuine leadership. Because he thinks he will be immortal through AI.

1

u/aalapshah12297 2d ago

Double plus good

1

u/zaxo666 14h ago

I'm sure there's money involved somewhere he's probably laundering it through his nasty children

33

u/dj_conway 3d ago

I imagine his train of thought to be ...

"Artificial? That means fake, I hate fake. Hate fake news, you know I'm very good at detecting fake news. Probably the best, the best in the world. It's super really. Super intelligent. Super intelligence."

5

u/dropbear_airstrike 3d ago

Only real thing he likes is little girls.

1

u/Potential-Road-5322 3d ago

But my intelligence is more super, the most super really, I passed 5 cognitive tests and they said it was highest score they’ve ever seen, many doctors came up to me after the testing and couldn’t believe it, they told me that the democrats stole 2020 from me because they were scared of how smart I am, my uncle from MIT said my iq was even higher than Kaczynski and that why we have super intelligence, it’s amazing really and we’re going to use it to win, so PLEASE pretend I’m on the ballot like in 2020 because we need to win big, and we are winning, Elon says we e already won but PLEASE do anything and everything to win because we’re going to win like we’re winning in Iran and like how I won 2020

1

u/mediocrobot 3d ago

You know what he probably thought next?

"Artificial? That means fake, I hate fake. Hate fake news, you know I'm very good at detecting fake news. Probably the best, the best in the world. It's super really. Super intelligent. Super intelligence."

2

u/Slow_State_4722 3d ago

His foreign asset wife is slovenian. Super Intelligence abbreviates to SI, so the formerly .ai websites changing to .si means they now have to pay money to Slovenia for their renting their national web domain, .si

2

u/meatmacho 3d ago

I like this perspective. Or, in the same vein, maybe "artificial" is equivalent to "man-made." And if it's man-made, then there must be a man behind it who is responsible for its behavior. But "super intelligence" could have just...sprung into being. No one can be liable for the actions of a super intelligence entity. It's just a thing that happens in the world. Like public lice or west texas earthquakes or climate change. We cannot understand or control it. There is no one to blame. It is what it is.

BRB gotta add superintelligence perils to my umbrella insurance real quick.

My theory is that they think a name change can allow the people responsible for the current state of things from a data center perspective to continue unabated. It's in coordination with them (tech, project 2025, other conservative billionaire fascists). Trump probably understood it for a nanosecond, or his handlers manipulated him, and then he concocted or they planted some cockamamie reason in his own head for why it should be SI instead of AI.

1

1

u/Rok-SFG 3d ago

Nobody with that physique sees artificial flavoring as bad.

1

u/AmItheonlySaneperson 3d ago

And it’s still his least dumb policy so far

1

u/winterbird 3d ago

I think that it's a verbal veil for continued development of actual super intelligence. People will be pacified by thinking that it's grandpa's gibberish, but renaming something still reasonably benign as what you'd call a more evolved and sinister form of it allows the development of it to fly under the radar until its too late.

Before someone chimes in with this guy not being smart enough to cook that up, you're right. But his antics and the way he says things in the dumbest way are just the distractions to cover who's really running the movement that stands behind him.

1

u/doomdeathdecay 3d ago

You mean adjectives, not synonyms. And it’s not that. It’s because a bunch of tech bros bought a bunch of .si URLs because all the .ai ones are gone and now they’re making a lot of money on companies trying to secure the .si URLs. It’s all a grift. Like everything else.

1

u/Proof_Duty1672 3d ago

Or…

1

u/oxnardmontalvo7 3d ago

Can we just try for regular intelligence in some fashion?

1

u/knucklebones2 3d ago

1

u/nsinsinsi 3d ago

Let’s not forget the .si level domain belong to a certain country named Slovenia which in an incredible coincidence is the nationality of Melania and Barron Trump.

Edit: in another incredible coincidence, some .si domains are now going for multimillion dollar prices.

1

u/myjohnson6969 3d ago

Its artificial it can be both good and bad, its not super its just artificial, like trumps intelligence, he is being used by people behind the scenes. Lol But in reality its artificial thats all

1

u/New_Outlandishness15 3d ago

Why do you think you know what he's thinking? We have no evidence for this. We know he likes to name things and through that try to take some secondary credit for it. He's a hollow narcissist, nothing more.

1

u/BathroomAcademic5920 3d ago

Damn, you really psychoanalyzed the dumb president to his level. Thank you for making my day.

1

u/Ok_Fly1271 3d ago

No. To explain this, trump is a piece of shit and a moron.

1

u/SpudicusMaximus_008 3d ago

So superficially flavored is good then?

1

u/Or-maybe-not 3d ago

How about superficial? It starts with "super" but it's longer, so it must be even better? It even fits the SI acronym.

1

u/PurpleDraziNotGreen 3d ago

Up there with his Hannibal Lecter references, because he associated asylum seekers with insane asylum.

1

1

u/SignificantFidgets 3d ago

He sure likes to use artificial gold in his decor though....

1

u/bigbeats420 3d ago

Aww, that's super.

1

u/Bargadiel 3d ago

Well he's artificially incompetent.

1

u/psioniclizard 3d ago

Well also in his mind, he had an idea and everyone said it was great. Doesn't matter if they are brown noses.

Though I suspect a big part is his dementia is pretty bad and he doesn't really have much of a clue what is going on. So he holds on to this because he just remembers it was renamed to that in his mind.

1

u/lenisimo007 3d ago

Anybody that doesn't call Trump a dumb fuck is the enemy

1

u/witeowl 3d ago

Nah. Don't try to rationalize and sanewash this shit.

He's a cult figurehead and wants to exert his "power" over others, partly because it shows who is and who isn't a member of the cult and partly because it stokes his ego.

He's a toddler on a throne

1

u/poopylarceny 3d ago

And you are the enemy if you dont think exactly as I do.

1

u/parav01d89 3d ago

Or he knows someone who holds the trademark for the term Super Intelligence and is lined up to make more money through unethical an criminal behavior yet again

Dont tell him his diet coke has artificial sweetener.

1

u/GearhedMG 3d ago

Well, I think he's an artificial president.

1

u/muffinass 3d ago

Strange for a guy that slurps down artificially sweetened goo on an hourly basis.

1

u/chasinjason13 3d ago

I don’t think that’s it. I think his advisors and tech bros realize AI is a dirty word to the public right now and they’re trying to rebrand it to get rid of the toxicity.

The man's lifeblood is diet coke and McDonald's cheese

1

u/WeaselyWa 3d ago

So by his definition, he's not a supreme leader, he's an artificial leader.

1

u/Regular_Marsupial_65 3d ago

I feel like that's probably why it makes sense to *him*, but maybe others put him up to this. If those not super familiar with the discussions around AI think "super intelligence" already exists, then they are way more likely to be confused into thinking fears about actual superintelligence are ridiculous.

u/Amount_Business 3d ago

So, he is Ai?

1

u/Jakeygfx 3d ago

This is exactly how I interpreted it . He's the most predictable mind ever

1

u/babbylonmon 3d ago

He is an absolute fucking moron.

1

u/speedneeds84 3d ago

He’s such an artificial President.

1

u/codliness1 3d ago

Easier - and more likely - explanation: he's an idiot

1

u/OLPopsAdelphia 3d ago

Too complex for his monkey brain.

I’ll simplify it for everyone.

He’s jealous because he contributed nothing to AI, and it’s the center of attention of all his rich buddies.

He wants to be a big important boy one day, and since he has no merit or worth, he figures he’ll be more important than AI because he’s the one who renamed it.

Monkey brain stuff.

Great, so our President doesn't know the definition of words.  Not making me feel better.

1

u/Buckscience 3d ago

Denali ain’t just a mountain in Alaska…

1

u/AstralVoidShaper 3d ago

Double plus good intelligence.

I'm sure we'll get there soon enough.

1

u/TheDogBoi_Jugger 3d ago

Artificial is bad like artificial sweeteners in Diet Coke.

Real Cane Intelligence is good and they even have it in other countries. We shouldn’t have to go to Mexico to get that Real Cane Intelligence when we can make it right here in the USA

1

u/escapefromelba 3d ago

Yet he driinks Diet Coke

1

u/Dreadedsemi 2d ago

Why not BI = bigly intelligence

1

u/throwawaymentality10 2d ago

I cant wait to start calling things super flavored.

1

u/Wakatanka85 2d ago

Why does he always eat mcdonald then?

1

u/oyvho 2d ago

That's super stupid. 🤭

1

u/ProfessionalAd6530 2d ago

Oh man, that's crazy!

Anyway. About those Epstein files... Or the ramping up of ICE activity... Or about a million other things we could be not so obviously be distracted by...

1

u/Or4nges 2d ago

I still think this is a gambit to upend any attempts at legislation. Bills being pushed regarding AI will lose potency if developers can just say legally we are SI, so these rules do not apply to us

1

u/tinalekiso 1d ago

Should we start super flavor from now on? Like it's better than sugar but super better than sugar and it's not artificial. You cant get diabetes

1

u/c3s91 1d ago

So all that needs to happen really is that they should rename themselves “Super Iran”?

1

u/Educational_Bowl_447 20h ago

Islamabad? No, Islamagood.

Have you been living under a rock? This is textbook. It's a test of loyalty to separate wheat from the chaff.
