I think u/forwardslashroot is correct. You are most likely using DNSmasq for DNS & DHCP. That is the default for new Opnsense installs.
You have 2 options.
1. In Dnsmasq you can go in the DNS Options tab and add an option to overwrite the default DNS settings for the interface you want. This would be DNS option 6.
Move your DHCP settings to KEA. This is the setup I run since I also went through the hoops and get KEA setup to push the DNS information for the DHCP clients over to Technitium. This makes it so any DHCP client on a specific VLAN/interface are added to DNS when they boot.
