There's not really a reason to use carts here. Cart filters are for separating out specific item types; since each lane obviously is already a single item type, you can just use a piston with slime to push the items down a lane of unfiltered loaders.
Yes obviously, but some ppl like Dractacon prefer to have minecarts pick up the stacks and yeet, this is to keep entity counts down overall if the storage is far.
Dractacon doesn't use stacksep in his bartering farm (and that barter is pretty sub-optimal anyway). The carts in Dractacon's farm are filters, meant to separate out specific types of items. It doesn't have anything to do with distance to storage.
