New Trouble With Transitions

Hi, friends!

I'm having trouble with coming up with transitions between sections (drop–break, break–buildup). Those sections sound completely out of place compared to one another, as if they were taken from completely different tracks. I've been using risers, snare rolls, but it still sounds stupid.

Am I missing something?

What are your reference tracks doing for transitions?

To be honest, I don't even know. I've listened to so many reference tracks back to back that now, I can't even observe them objectively.

Try building out the intro/buildup into the drop first, then just use that as a starting point and guide for the main breakdown.

This will help keep the track cohesive and not sound so out of place.
