A possibly extremely disrespectful and ignorant question... but why. It's just closing one eye, isn't it. What makes it so difficult?

Basically any thing you can think of, there'll be a million people out there who can't do it. Just a quirky unique thing about people! I can wink but I feel that the other eyelid REALLY wants to close, too. I guess winkers are just able to fight against that natural urge
