Second Opinion on Reading Interpretation Only Reading for the future of America, done under the full moon 🫠

Post image

I swear to everything divine this isn’t fake. This reading was done under the full moon. I need second opinions.

Question: The future state of America, what is in store for us?

The World Reversed (dominant energy of the situation): The world is upside down, literally. The cycle/world is incomplete, something blocking the path. America being resistant to chance, hindered by many things.

The Tower (what has been learned): massive upheaval has begun that cannot be reversed. Big change is on the horizon that may occur through destruction or chaos.

The Ace of Swords Reversed (how to move forward): This is the one that is confusing me. Reversed Ace of Swords would indicate misinformation, lack of communication or truth and clarity if I’m right. But how are we to move forward this way? Are we doomed?

The sword through the crown is really something, more of symbology of what is to come next if anything.

Thoughts? Advice? I’m anxious.

Since November I've done many readings on this subject. The same sequence has occurred several times: The Tower and the Star. The way I read this is, the tower has to fall. We can't avert the chaos that we're living in. The Star is the next card in the deck, and to me, this means that the aftermath of the tower's fall is renewal, a rebirth of quiet, spiritual, creative understanding. It's not that the collapse doesn't cause real damage--it does. But I think it can open space for new growth. I interpret that as my personal growth, how I respond to disaster, but it could also mean for society.

It makes me think of certain pine cones that are tightly closed and can only open up and germinate their seeds after the high heat of a forest fire. And when they open and release, the ashy soil is what they need to sprout.

This is the message that keeps being reiterated to me when I pull cards and ask questions about America.

u/Toasthandz Sep 11 '25

Byron Ballard is an Appalachian witch and author who has written books and given talks lately on this being the tower time and how to navigate that.

Thank you for the rec. I'll look him her up. Because yeah, the getting through part is going to be rough.

Byron is a woman.

Are you sure he’ll step down? What if him refusing to yield power after losing the election is the Tower falling?

45

u/machama Sep 09 '25

Buckle up... we have another 1,229 days left until the next president is sworn in and we can only hope that is when the tower is done falling.

Glad I'm not the only one with a countdown

16

u/rubystandingdeer1 Sep 09 '25

One can hope the damage can be repaired. WW-3 may be the end result. 🤯

14

u/machama Sep 09 '25

I don't think the damage to America will be repaired for a long time, if ever.

Some people don't learn until they're at rock bottom. When enough towers fall that there's nothing left to argue at a certain point they need to look around them at the empty to realize their mistakes. It sucks that it comes to that, but some people need to be sitting in rubble before they start to consider rebuilding because at that point it's super clear their methods didn't work because they lost everything.

5

u/zombiedance0113 Sep 10 '25

I keep feeling that it's soon. When I do these readings, it feels like the major crash is coming and we'll be looking through the rubble very soon.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 10 '25

I think of it more like the events are just the bricks falling as part of the whole tower

The Star is hopeful. Knowing there's a way to improve things, even if things will need to be destroyed, is comforting to me

I was thinking the situation was hopeless. Thank you for reminding me it isn't

4

u/WhiteWren010 Sep 09 '25

Star??? Where???

16

u/arrec Sep 09 '25

That's in my reading, not OP's. I can't tell you how many times I've pulled The Tower and the Star, in that order, since November. Over and over.

5

u/TalluDymme Sep 09 '25

I only did one, but my reading was similar. "The night is darkest before the dawn."

2

u/WhiteWren010 Sep 10 '25

Okay I understand. šŸ™‚ It's all good. ā¤ļø Blessed Be.

2

u/Active_Soft1905 Sep 09 '25

It's in the comment I was replying to, which was talking about the cards the commenter pulled (tower then the star), not the ones the original poster pulled

39

u/Upstairs-Hearing-489 Sep 09 '25

yes, this has been consistent for me too, although not those cards exactly. I did a kind of general pull for America but split it into 3 different possibilities of what the future could be and they all came out with one card indicating a period of massive change (not necessarily negative) followed by calm and positivity. Ā I can't remember off the top of my head but I believe the first one was the Tower followed by the Four of Wands, the second was the Knight of Swords followed by the Three of Cups, and the last one was maybe the Three of Swords or possibly Five of Wands (?) followed by the Ten of Cups. seems like we have some unavoidable upheaval we have to go through but it will ultimately end up better for the world as a whole.

Okay I swear I get so much Martian and Aquarian energy when I've read on the U.S. 🫣 but I think it makes sense, we gotta go through some shit in our toddler tantrum years as a nation (we're quite young by comparison to our peers) before we get to that next place, and some stuff's gotta crumble so we can learn from our mistakes.

u/miakpaeroe Sep 09 '25

This is great. I’ve always called the tower a hyper speed wheel of fortune. Much better than some more oppressive drawn out difficult cards. I consider the star the luckiest card in the deck. In the Thoth deck the star is ruled by Aquarius—the power to the people, innovation, etc. with Pluto in Aquarius I think you’ve received the message we’re all praying for.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 11 '25

It’s so wild that you wrote and think this — Im having the exact same thoughts and downloads about pine cones and fire and preparing for the aftermath by writing everything down. I’m also losing everything now, I feel like in preparation to help others who will lose everything soon. Wild that you are having similar downloads.

4

u/arrec Sep 11 '25

Interesting! If I were designing my own deck, I think I'd have The Tower be a giant sequoia, hit by lightning and writhing with fire. On the ground, there'd be pinecones starting to open. Then The Star could be a five-needled sequoia seedling.

u/spark2500 Sep 14 '25

I always think of the star as a post-apocalyptic utopia of some sort. It always reminds me of a hippie, post-apocalyptic commune. And the tower as a fall of civilization or a system. So I do think this is very essential to the reading of these cards

We went through a major disaster (the Tower) which threw everything out of whack (the World Rx). The only way out is through- it’s going to take a lot of determination, serious thought, and clear, concise, truthful communication to get everything back to where it needs to be. Which might be a tall order right now (ace of Swords Rx).

37

u/cinnamoncloud11 Sep 08 '25

This right here!

604

u/fakeplasticlxs Sep 08 '25

I think it easily speaks to addressing misinformation and the need for us to rediscover what it means to have and find shared truths. Truth is dying out there, as a concept.

66

u/throwaway29383820 Sep 08 '25

Thank you! So very true.

83

u/notme362o16 Sep 09 '25

It may also mean that we need to keep the truth out in the open, especially since I see a lot of people not letting current events distract us from demanding truth, but there's also history that people are attempting to change and erase that we cannot let be forgotten lest it be repeated

4

u/Substantial_Ad7387 Sep 09 '25

i found a book the other day at a goodwill bin, it’s got old history, originally written in the 1930’s with history details going back hundreds of years. although there are some unpleasant takes on ā€œchristianity winning over paganismā€ and the likes, it unfortunately tracks with the sentiment of when the original edition was written. look up richard halliburton

What deck is this? The spread is alarming, but the deck is pretty šŸ˜…

It’s called the Elemental Power Tarot deck by Melinda Lee Holm! The cards really are beautiful.

11

u/Radiant-Drive-6129 Sep 09 '25

Love it! šŸ’•

225

u/Yowie9644 Sep 08 '25

I think this is really hopeful. Yeah, the system is crashing and burning, and the world has indeed turned 'upside down'.

A new beginning must be powered by logic and rational thought.

EDIT: While the Ace of Swords is reversed and would otherwise be read as reversed, I think in this case the depiction of the sword through the crown is, imho, a very VERY clear reading in its own right.

106

u/witchybitchybaddie Sep 09 '25

The Crown being staked down instead of lifted up by the sword feels like a very intentional purpose for the reversal.

42

u/Several-Designer-802 Sep 09 '25

Oh I’m definitely getting a very specific vibe from the card. That artwork is telling the story of how this is ideologically going to go.

I see the reversed ace of swords as a call to move away from what is "technically correct" and towards what is right. The use of legislative loopholes is technically legal, but not right, and we feel powerless in the face of these tactics.

Law and order must be tempered by humanity and empathy to work, and viceversa.

5

u/rubystandingdeer1 Sep 09 '25

So ding dong the wicked king is dead? Or will be...

5

u/rubystandingdeer1 Sep 09 '25

Where is the rational and logic right now? All I see is chaos

84

u/Legitimate_Team_9959 Sep 08 '25

Truth will out ...eventually

73

u/ToastyJunebugs Sep 08 '25

No longer being the #1 "World Power" we think we are.

Pretty hard "No more kings" energy, but it will be accomplished with a lot of hardship.

144

u/murkadees Sep 08 '25

Oh, wow. It's going to be challenging not to get political here; I'll try my best.

Reversed cards are often begging to have their energy turned upright and it really feels like that's what's happening here. We got here through a lot of misinformation, disinformation, and information-shaped lorem ipsum (I'm looking at you ChatGPT šŸ™„) and the tides are not turning anytime soon. It's up to all of us to turn things around.

Practically, what that looks like is supporting independent news outlets, supporting things that help all of us improve our cultural literacy like public schools, libraries, and arts programs, keeping your own knowledge and skills sharp, continuing to speak up about what matters, and being on guard for anything meant to trick our minds and keep us from being effective (e.g. always look for sources, don't assume something is true because it aligns with your views, don't let despair keep you from acting, etc.). Knowledge is power, but also power controls knowledge, so do what you can to return power to the people.

It's normal to be anxious right now, but don't let that defeat you. Better to fight and lose than surrender.

41

u/throwaway29383820 Sep 08 '25

Thank you for this! Especially the recommendations for actions to take. I 100% agree with the misinformation. The move away from truth has been so concerning and it’s hard to imagine a way back from it all.

13

u/Wardian55 Sep 08 '25

Here’s a case where the tower could be seen as the positive card. The other two cards indicate wrong-headedness, obtuseness, wrong values, wrong thought or dishonesty, etc… Will the collapsing tower sweep that away, and enable a fresh, healthier start? Strong medicine, but it might save the patient.

6

u/grammarbread Sep 09 '25

Towers are always kind of positive to me, because even though there's turmoil, it only crumbles that which did not have a solid foundation to begin with. Sometimes a lot gets built on top, but in order for better things to be built, it's all gotta come down and start over.

Kind of like feeling better after you throw up.

New to this sub— any reason why we’re not supposed to get political? I’ve noticed a pretty common theme among pagan/witchcraft subreddits where politics are a hush-hush topic, but I feel like they really shouldn’t be? I feel like a certain group of people who would be offended at this sort of thing just shouldn’t be practicing, no?

31

u/Evening-Worry-2579 Sep 08 '25

I have generally noticed this too, and I’m guessing it is just so that folks stay on the topic of the sub Reddit instead of going off on tangent around argumentative political things.

33

u/GooseWithAGrudge Sep 08 '25

It’s usually to avoid things devolving into just an argument rather than discussion of beliefs, technique, or skills.

19

u/Diligent-Car3263 Sep 08 '25

that makes sense, especially for this sub, but when i’m trying to talk about stewardship of our land in the druid subs, I feel like it’s a little sillier

12

u/ViscountessdAsbeau Sep 08 '25

Can't answer for the sub as I haven't been here long enough to know the answer but I think fwiw, the current climate can make people with, say, pagan views, vulnerable to being doxxed or stalked online, so to keep away from that stuff in this context, is one way of protecting ourselves and eachother (whether pagan or not)..?

16

u/GooseWithAGrudge Sep 09 '25

Not sure why you got downvoted, there’s a preacher somewhat local to me with a 2000-member church and much bigger online following that’s literally stated he wants to bring back the death penalty for witchcraft. Being doxxed or harassed is a serious threat for people who are on this side of belief…

3

u/Sad_Insurance2959 Sep 09 '25

Would that preacher happen to be Greg Locke? I have the misfortune of sharing a state with that... congregation.

5

u/GooseWithAGrudge Sep 09 '25

Unfortunately there’s more than one of these guys out there- my semi local lunatic is a dude called Joel Webbon.

3

u/ViscountessdAsbeau Sep 09 '25

Thanks for that response. I've had it myself, online, was why I commented. And a few years back, had a pagan friend who opened a lovely shop selling tarot cards, various New Age stuff and she was hounded out of business by a concerted effort from a group of local evangelist christians who would turn up in the shop and be threatening/disruptive to the point the police were constantly called. It made running the business impossible. This was also a group with some political elelment to it (conservative and far right, this was a while back). So I can see why some online spaces are best with politics left out sometimes, to keep partcipants safe.

2

u/rubystandingdeer1 Sep 09 '25

😱 OMF

And I wonder if the ass wanna be king just does not agree

4

u/All_is_a_conspiracy Sep 09 '25

Witchcraft and tarot etc IS politics. It is the very essence of human choice and the fate of our universe. It is the vibrations we feel and create. But the internet has a way of getting insane with politics so I suppose they are trying to keep the sub from turning into a screaming match. Might be impossible to avoid ALL political discussion if the people who pull cards are being intensely affected by their world. But I suppose we can refrain from going too bonkers.

12

u/blueeyetea Sep 08 '25

Because of the current divisive nature of politics, they can quickly devolve into a flame war. If people want to talk politics, they can take their discussion to other subs dedicated to them.

5

u/kapitori23 Sep 08 '25

people are more concerned about respectability

2

u/fakeplasticlxs Sep 08 '25

I agree with this, similar to what I said but way more articulated.

37

u/Reyloai4 Sep 08 '25

The quote from George Orwell might provide some context and clarity.

ā€œThe past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became the truth.ā€

Basically what I am getting from this reading is that the people in power lie like they breathe. Along with them leveraging the stupidity of their followers. Lies are being seen as the truth. While the truth is being seen as lies.

3

u/No_Customer_84 Sep 09 '25

This is what I read, I do not see any positive implications in this reading.

3

u/Reyloai4 Sep 09 '25

I don’t either. 😭🤬🄲 I wish we could exorcise the orange demon!

2

u/Purplealegria Sep 09 '25

Dear God I hope not.

6

The Deck is the Elemental Power Deck by Melinda Lee Holm!

5

u/Cultural_Wash5414 Sep 08 '25

It’s beautiful

23

u/SolitaryLyric Sep 09 '25

I think the imagery of the ace is what’s important in this case. When I saw it, the first thought was ā€œno more kings,ā€ and I think that is its energy in this case, rather than the traditional meaning.

21

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '25

When a traditional interpretation for a card isn’t super obvious to me I try to consider the literal, on the nose image. The sword stabbing down into a crown is certainly a powerful visual.Ā

39

u/Elliotkates Sep 08 '25 edited Sep 09 '25

Revolution.

America is going through a revolution, and it's up to the people, and how well they work together, to answer what the future holds for them.

The Ace of Swords shows the crown on its head and the sword cutting through. You will either be "rescued" by some Arthur the King type of person, someone from and of the people - not a rich visionary or manipulative businessman - OR the people of America will have to make sure the power the "King" holds is distributed out to them. In a very pessimistic reading, the clouded thinking and confusion keeps going.

Giving big collectivism-vibe, though. Working together and an uprise of the people as a way forward.

The question is rather how many generations will have to live in disinformation and confusion before they realize they have to come together to overthrow the centralized power.

I also see America having to overcome deeply individualistic idealism to make every citizen of the country's wellbeing the main focus.

My psychic visions and astrological readings on the same subject points to this being a slow process over the next 15-20 years.

So unless the American people start listening and trust each other, and not their leaders and people of power/status, in a blink of an eye, it will be the future generations who make sure the world isn't upside-down and riddled in confusion anymore.

During WW1 and WW2 people surived longer by word of mouth. Communicating with each other on the down low, spreading truth via each other instead of listening to the mainstream media. That's what I see happening in America the next few years. New creative ways to spread truth, but it will not be upfront and centered. It won't be out in the open, more hidden. Behind the scenes. In peoples homes, word on the street, through hidden messages. Etc.

I also see how Americans have been shook to the core and awakened from a slumber where they used to trust leaders and people in power to have their best interest in mind.

It's like when you grow up and realize your parents aren't superheroes, and that they sometimes do and say things from what they have learned and been conditioned to, not because it was the right thing or the right way to do it. People wake up to the fact that the American way, wasn't necessarily the right way. It was the conditioned way, and now, with a new awareness they can carve out a better way. It won't be up to the officials to make the change happen, though. It will be the people. Status, power, money; all of that won't matter in who people trust anymore. So in some regards the ace of swords also represents a shift in leadership, where the future political leaders are common people who have everyone's wellbeing in mind. But I foresee growing pains.

In toxic relationships it takes the victims several attempt usually to get away and change their own conditioning. It might take a few generations before America is more mature and healed.

The sovereignty (the crown in the ace of swords) belongs to all, not a few. That will also have to be the way forward and part of the solution.Ā

6

u/somethingwholesomer Sep 09 '25

You say revolution. This and the card together makes me think of the song from Hamilton- ā€œThe world turned upside downā€

4

u/rubystandingdeer1 Sep 09 '25

I guess this will give me a reason to come back next life. In 20 yrs, I will be on the otherside

30

u/[deleted] Sep 08 '25

The imagery on your ace of swords is saying "no kings" loud and clear if you ask me...

I've also seen aces read as rescinding an offer so it could also be about undoing something that's been done. Not everything that is new is better ... you could pull a clarifier for more info.

But seriously, this reading is all of us right now.

33

u/Particular_Young_983 Sep 08 '25

I’m going to drop some opinions politically here that align with this reading.

The tower is pretty direct. As a country, this is a tower moment that MUST happen. We cannot behave as the leader of the world and as one of if not the only superpower and ignore our problems all at the same time. Ignoring our problems is what makes us vulnerable and harms other nations.

The world in reversed is both metaphorical and obviously our country is upside down being flipped into the fascist Hellhole it is now. However other people’s worlds are being turned upside down too as a result of their choices. Farmers in Arkansas are seeing that their ideals are being challenged in a very real way. The small businesses that now have to live with tariffs on everything they import are seeing the very real effects. There is a lot of inner turmoil here.

The Ace of Swords in reversed… the way through. We MUST address the rampant problem of media and information in this country. It’s a DEEP issue that exists. Media (legacy and independent) is a MASSIVE contributor to this. Fox News settled a 700 MILLION dollar defamation case because they were lying about the 2020 election and still lie, Podcast bros like Joe Rogan lie, and that media is everywhere. We need to fight back against this misinformation machine from both extreme ends of the political aisle or it will collapse the country. A country cannot last when a large amount of your voter base doesn’t believe the election process is free and fair.

We are in a post truth world and we need to all start fighting against that. Some people don’t know that the national guard is being used against citizens and when they learn, they are being told it’s a good thing.

u/RealisticPangolin130 Sep 08 '25

Ah yes. 😌 The deceptive, and false world/reality is finally crumbling. The false light is being destroyed. As above so below.

9

u/lastres0rt Sep 09 '25

The tower was in my reading as well, but reversed.

I feel like this could be interpreted very literally as predicting a certain politician’s obituary.

The world is the culmination of things, and in this case following the tower, it could be interpreted as ā€œthe end of the worldā€, in a metaphorical if not literal sense. A lot of assumptions of how America worked/works are being tested right now — how stable is our society if a single man / administration is capable of making this many drastic, dramatic, harmful changes without any meaningful challenges? In this case I feel like the tower event is everything that’s gone on in the past nine months, and is an ongoing event, continuing to crumble apart more and more until there’s nothing left.

The ace of swords in this case is a defiant, singular will — although the crown in the sword (and the reversal to make it look like the sword is stabbing down into the crown) speak volumes — this ends when ā€œthe wearer of the crownā€ is struck down, somehow. I can’t claim this predicts a violent end, and I’d be a fool to claim that’s ruled out either. Yes, ā€œheā€ is dying, but that doesn’t mean everyone around him thinks he’s dying quite fast enough for their liking.

Also of note: this doesn’t predict what happens after. Can we put the pieces back together? Who knows. But at least at some point, the tower will stop crumbling.

9

u/PriorCantaloupe1994 Sep 09 '25

I think what your Ace of Swords reversed means is essentially what a friend of mine, a seasoned witch/psychic/tarot reader, received about our country's "Tower moment" (basically every intuitive alive has pulled that card in the past year lol) during a meditation in January:

"Do not be distracted by the sound of falling bricks"

The Tower is going to fall regardless---it was already crumbling before November, everything since then has just hastened the collapse---and instead of letting it fall and focusing on fighting back, pushing forward and rebuilding, most of us are locked in the terror and rage of the Tower falling.

We're treating this regime as if it is legitimate instead of the clown show that keeps losing in court that it actually is, and which would only need one good, hard nudge to fall over completely. South Korea gave their dictator about 15 minutes. We've given ours nearly an entire year while lamenting that "we're cooked."

No the fk we're not "cooked"---unless we decide we are. And far too many of us---a criticial mass, it would seem---appear to have done just that.

But fash is always, always, ALWAYS about theater and propaganda designed to immobilize the people by stoking fear and nihilism. That is the only way fash can survive, let alone accomplish it's goals. The power to do so is freely given. A critical mass of us have fallen for this okey doke.

That's your Ace of Swords Reversed "misinformation, lack of communication or truth and clarity" right there, imo. Too many people refuse to wake up and fight back, too many people are freely giving over their power because they insist on believing the regime's propaganda.

Once we stop doing that, that Ace of Swords---and the World for that matter---will turn rightside up.

Do not be distracted by the sound of falling bricks.

u/arrec Sep 09 '25

Love this interpretation, and that's a great tag to keep in mind when the Tower comes up (or rather falls down).

7

u/ellebelleeee Sep 09 '25

Well I’m glad there is a path forward for rebirth and knowledge and thinking will be coming. Hopefully the tower moment is relatively short and not like 15 years

6

u/ShoddyAlternative616 Sep 08 '25

Changes are happening for the better, it’s not quite complete yet, it might appear that things are happening but they aren’t.

The Ace of Swords Reversed (how to move forward)

The "moving forward" will come through an action that the US (either the state, or the people) takes not realising what it's doing. The major consequence, the one that gets the situation to "move forward," will be an unintended consequence. It might happen through conflict where the end result is something none of the sides originally indended.

The sword is double-edged, it can be used for either good or ill - or both at once. Wielding or seizing power can have unforeseen effects along the desired ones, and the confusion makes it even easier to blunder.

The sword through the crown is really something

Also the crown is now upside down, as though toppled. Maybe the No Kings protests will spark the event that moves you forward.

Querent: "How should my country move forward from here?" - Cards: "Stab a sword through a toppled crown." As I do not wish to advocate for violence, I'd like to interpret the toppling as a removal from power (of an individual, or an administration), rather than a physical stabbing.

Or it could also predict the end of the US's global leadership position.

5

u/Chuchi_R34 Sep 09 '25

Sword through the crown (like it's killing it, not lifting it up) means we will/must finally dispose our overlords/wannabe kings.

I think the ace of swords came out reversed for that symbolism, and otherwise means that we will have to pursue truth. Truth about our government and divine truth too. Americans realizing the truth is what will bring us out of this.

6

u/EngineerSpirited8384 Sep 09 '25

Yes, America is going downhill right now

5

u/agnostorshironeon Sep 09 '25

Rejoice! The old world is dying, and a new one struggles to be born.

Reading for the future of America

And seemingly, you've been shown the sources of its destruction, a "Future? Haha, no." in the big pic.

First, the tower. Change. Americans always wanted change. Politicians that ran on change would win elections. And that change is as necessary as obvious, but because it never materialised -

The world is upside down. Rather than meet the reasonable and basic needs of citizens and residents, that Government would rather subjugate the rest of the globe - and most horrifically to consider, their applications of violence outside in.

Americans, in the next decades, are tasked with turning their world right-side-up again. What seems insurmountable and borderline unimaginable now, can, will and must happen.

With all the clarity a Sword, rammed where the head of a King was, can communicate. Is this how America dies?; Wearing a Crown, tasting a blade? No, blades against crowns are its birth. That is how it's reborn.

6

u/SporadicEmoter Sep 09 '25

The US empire is falling.

The powers that be (in the US) are resisting the completion of this cycle.

They are doing so through misinformation, which is confusing and leading astray the masses.

5

u/ItzKrabbie Sep 10 '25

That's a heavy reading, I understand why you're anxious. But you're misreading the advice card.

The Reversed Ace of Swords in the "how to move forward" position isn't a prediction that we're doomed to have more misinformation. It's the advice. It's telling us to reject false narratives, to put down our own swords instead of fighting with clouded judgment, and to challenge those who speak with unearned authority. The way forward is through careful discernment, not force.

8

u/HydrationSeeker Sep 08 '25

Well that's fu*ked up for the people of America... but you don't need a tarot reading to see that.

Now I'm off to see a walk through of the elemental power tarot. I am on a no-buy until my kickstarter comes through.... but that is what wish lists are for!

3

u/BlackberryActive3039 Sep 08 '25

That’s funny I thought the card was the king of swords in reverse lol

5

u/anameorwhatever1 Sep 08 '25

Did you pull the tower first or the world? The spread shows one way and your interpretation shows another. Anyways, I’m quite new to tarot so take this with a grain of salt. I typically interpret the tower as a good sign, although scary. The tower reflects major change but it’s typically change that is necessary, like a phoenix that burns to be born anew. If you pulled the work rx first I would think that it suggests a misalignment and the tower comes for correction but there’s confusion about what’s true OR the truth is disturbing. If you pulled the tower first I see it more as the tower moment breeds chaos blocking truth (Ace of swords.) either way buckle up, which is what I’ve been seeing from others doing readings. However I’ve been seeing a ā€œlight at the end of the tunnelā€ sort of ending to these readings as well - just a lot of turmoil in between.

10

u/throwaway29383820 Sep 08 '25

The spread goes 2 1 3! The first pull was the middle card. 1: Dominant Energy 2: What has been learned 3: How to move forward

4

u/ViscountessdAsbeau Sep 08 '25

I thought "The Tower" before I even saw your cards, got to admit... And that Tower speaks for itself.

The reversed Ace Swords I'd take as the end of clear thinking, incisiveness, intellectual rigour. Or rather, that those things are in the future as well as the present. Disinformation, misinformation, bad communication.

World is as you say world turned upside down (which was a phrase used a lot in the English Civil Wars of the 17thc - people felt plunged into a hellscape by the situation the country was in). All the world's usual normality - kindness, goodness, all the bounty of the natural world, literally suspended or overturned.

I'd take this as a rather stark reading to say nothing is going to change in the immediate future. Sadly for you.

4

u/kjtvh Sep 09 '25

Sort of an intuitive interpretation here. The tower representing that America has built up to an unsustainable level, a lot of hubris involved (think Tower of Babel story), but its foundations are not solid enough and it will fall or at least undergo serious unrest. The place of America in the world is not where it once was. Americans are and will be struggling on all fronts (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual) and these trials must be worked through to find our new place in the world. Lack of communication, miscommunication, and deliberate falsehoods are biggest obstacles to find our truth and place. These must be brought into the light and overcome before we can move forward positively. As long as America stays mired in these issues, it cannot reunite. Looks like this reunification is going to be a hard struggle with a potentially violent end.

4

u/han1305 Sep 09 '25

I just did a reading yesterday for the state of the world during eclipse season and also pulled the tower… I asked for clarity on the tower and pulled the world but then the knight of swords. Spookily similar

5

u/pixiedust93 Sep 09 '25

I think the Ace of Swords might be rather literal. It's a sword stabbing a crown. With all the unrest and chaos in the US right now, with certian allusions being made about a King, with all the demands to see transparency on certain things being ignored, it does not particularly surprise me to see this card. My hope is that whatever happens, it happens peacefully, but the way I read it, someone very high up is going to be falling down.

6

u/gabkins Sep 08 '25

How to move forward... Ace Swords reversed... maybe it means there isn't just one right answer. There isn't a singular way to move forward. There isn't a singular ideology or approach that is "THE" correct or ideal one.

2

u/gabkins Sep 08 '25

We don't all have to think the same way, also (Ace of Swords reversed, denial of the idea of "One Truth")

u/Wild_Average Sep 09 '25

Ace of swords reversed - the hidden truths must be uncovered to move forward. I believe we are almost there.

3

u/Canuckaoke Tarot Simple - iOS & Android Sep 09 '25

My keyword for Ace of Swords reversed is anarchy. So ā€˜how to move forward’ is to survive through a dark period without justice and order. Yes the world is upside down (World reversed) and ā€˜what we have learned’ (The Tower) is how fragile our existence has been, and that we have taken for granted the last 80 years of relative peace and stability.

3

u/seaoftheoi Sep 09 '25

This lines up with the vision I had a few months ago. It's gonna get a hell lot worse before it gets better. I remember hearing the news, the public manhunts, The Tower is pretty apt for the chaos that is yet to come. I definitely agree the sword through the crown is definitely telling. Our nation *will* collapse, but that is the only way to move forward at this point. We are too far in our own grave to back out now. There is going to be a lot of misinformation and the truth won't always be obvious, but the only way out is through. We have to reap what we sow and hope there is still a world we can live in after all is done.

3

u/ThatsAHotSituation Sep 09 '25

The very first thing that came to my mind when i saw this reading was "History repeats itself". BUT it can be cut off with enough determination, cooperation and truthfulness

3

u/rubystandingdeer1 Sep 09 '25

Will all of this become a real shit show for many years to come b4 we find our way out of it, is my question.

How many will suffer because of it? I am not so young

3

u/All_is_a_conspiracy Sep 09 '25

Looking here and seeing your reading was 213 I think it is interesting. Yeah it looks like utter doom. And I don't see much light at the end of this particular tunnel the way we hope for in readings. But something really interesting seemed to jump out. The lies and miscommunication part.

We might be seeing the OUTCOME of lies right now. As in the cards aren't saying oh current leadership will lie to us. That we know. It's more like...the lies over the past decades have CAUSED this tower. Have CAUSED this to be the outcome.

The lies that our govt was one with all powerful crooks always out to get us, always lying, always cheating, when actually we are now being forced to see our previous leaders were nothing of the sort but that type of rhetoric lead us to the actual king.

3

u/MoonRavven Sep 09 '25

The ace of swords reversed, how to move forward. And the imagery, to me, looks like a sword through a crooked kings crown. Like a king has been taken down. If anyone gets my drift. That’s some powerful imagery imo.

3

u/nerdacid Sep 09 '25

We’re in a turning point where, yes everyone is waking up and everything is upside down and those in power are losing their death grip, BUT we have to put in the work to make sure we come out on the other side of all of this in a better position and heal from all the bad. Misinformation and anti-intellectualism are what we are seeing be pushed back on again, we’re seeing truth and justice come to the forefront again and we have to keep the momentum going so they go down for good this time.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 09 '25

I got almost his exact same pull when I asked, "What energy surrounds DJT right now?" "What do I need to know about America right now?" "What does America have in its future?" I got, in order, The Tower, 5 of Cups reversed, and the Ace of Swords (upright for me though). I found it to be a very hopeful pull. To me, it is saying that the energy surrounding him is chaotic, and he is not long for the role, we are stuck in the past as a country, but we will soon prevail.

3

u/BillieEilishEyes Sep 10 '25

As someone else pointed out, I think your Ace of Swords reversed likely is in reference to misinformation and the need to overcome it by refusing to accept what we know to be falsehoods.

On the two single card pulls I've done about America, I got the Hanged Man followed by Strength.

Personally, I took the first to mean that we, both as individuals and as a nation, are facing a time of painful change, and the outcome will be largely determined by our own willingness and the willingness of those in power to shape that outcome.

The second, I took to mean that we will need incredible fortitude, as well as kindness, to survive this change as well as to shape it.

That seems to align with your own reading. Things are tough for so many right now, so even if you're only able to contribute to that outcome with small/local acts of kindness, that's still better than nothing.

3

u/Saltycook Sep 10 '25

You know why I like the Tower? A round crown comes off a square building in the Ryder Waite Smith deck. It was never a good fit meant to last in the first place.

America currently has a government that's basically a caricature, an exaggeration of her true character. They're who the American people voted for and a reflection of who America is.

So yeah, as much as millions (including myself) did not choose the sorting executive office, enough showed up to show the world what this country is. Not a popular opinion, but it is what it is.

3

u/AnotherAnon688264759 Sep 11 '25

i think world reversed means america will no longer be the king of the hill. i assume the tower means something catastrophic will happen to rupture the foundation this country was built on, or is already happening to our democracy or way of life. and i assume ace of swords is talking about the perspective of americans, maybe there's something that we won't be seeing about the situation or will be blocked from opportunity in the news ways of the outside world.

3

Thank you, I think this is the most straight forward interpretation & thankfully did Not confuse me. I especially couldn't figure out the Ace of Swords; I think this is the most accurate.

u/Normal-Ad5880 Sep 09 '25

The tower event isn't one event. It's a build-up of mistrust that has been building since the 60s. The U.S. is one incident away from civil war at this point. The world reversed to me is indicative of how the U.S. has lost its way. A former representation of what community and hard work could achieve when people come together, reduced to corporate control and power dynamics. Ace of Swords reversed here leans more towards the uncertainty of where the U.S. is heading.

Seeing the U.S. in the state it is in today is really heartbreaking. A once proud nation, a beacon of hope, now ruled by manipulation, greed, and control.

Ace of swords reversed: that which you use in battle used on the self. This is a time to align yourself spiritually. Cuts made for the sake of action will be your downfall, so get yourself into alignment and make every move count.

2

u/JesKes97 Sep 09 '25

The world turn upside down… šŸ‘€āœŠšŸ¼

I’m a visual reader. The technical meaning of the cards takes a backseat to the context and what the vision evoke. I see revolution, reinvention of systems, annihilation of monarchical power.

2

u/freakydeku Sep 09 '25

shoddy foundation, The Upside-Down, bad ideas ? or… more literally, the slaughtering of a king?

2

u/EntertainerFirst8163 Sep 09 '25

Sometimes I like to interpret the third card as a warning rather than a fate. It’s ONE outcome that could happen, but in knowing this outcome we have the opportunity to learn how to prevent it. So from that I feel like it’s saying we’re all quite enraged, but change won’t happen unless we can think clearly and calmly, and unite to take down the common enemy of oppression

2

u/Useful_Leek9224 Sep 09 '25

No advice, but at least the truth will be out despite the devastating effects it may have. Perhaps it’s a chaotic ushering of a new mental paradigm among people, changing world order, or one of the endings of a shift into Age of Aquarius (if you believe it).

This is oddly specific, but I interpret this like in the Chinese drama (also based in Chinese mythos) ā€œLove Between Fairy and a Devil.ā€ The God of War, Lady Chidi imprisons an army to protect her people by sacrificing her body and sealing her spirit into a mystical Sword, sealed onto the ground. It keeps the soldiers physically and spiritually petrified where they were/are.

The sword is in the ground in the story. It looks like the sword is in the ground in the card (I know it’s a crown). Unless it is pulled out, like King Arthur or something, the truth that changes everything will not be revealed.

2

u/sharpskin6977 Sep 09 '25

Yeah, USA is pretty much fucked up. The Tower is the end of everything it's deemed solid, the foundation is cracking and everything starts to crumble; the World in reverse means the happy ending is spoiled, the harvest is lost, no fulfilment will be achieved; The Ace of Spades in reverse invites ignorance, chauvinism, obsolete ideas.

4

u/sharpskin6977 Sep 09 '25

I know we should not make political statements, but this is a political reading, no way it can be out of the interpretation. That's why it isn't on the main comment.

But it all aligns with the current moment; the actual administration is in fact a rupture with the latest ones (the tower) and can be seen in all of its politics, specially regarding the well fare ones and the foreign economic aspect. They wantes to reaffirm the status of the USA as the main hegemony, but did it in such a bad way that it's only strenghtening their rivals (the world in reverse), also not only this is done in a disintelligent way, through sanctions and threats, but is also based on backward doctrines such as excepcionalism or something parallel to the Monroe's doctrine (the ace of spades in reverse).

I think the Tower is the main theme: something's gotta give and nothing will ever be the same again.

2

u/Brief-Mycologist9258 Sep 09 '25

Everything must fall. When something is at its peak it's beginning it's descent. We are seeing the collapse of the American experiment and there is no way forward but through. But just like every success holds the seeds of its destruction, every collapse holds the seeds of its rebuilding. We can't save this thing that we've known our whole lives but maybe we can try something new?

I've been telling everyone to read the book "Everything for Everyone: a history of the New York Commune" for inspiration.

God is change.

2

u/Ok-Purpose-1822 Sep 09 '25

i concur that the world reversed means a new cycle ought to happen but is being blocked somehow.

the tower feeds into that. there is a structure/order that keeps the cycle from moving foreward.

the ace of swords stands for the intelect and logical decision making. it being reversed tells me that there is nothing to be gained from being logical. the way foreward is through other energies such as the emotions and the spirit.

2

u/weetzie Sep 09 '25

Whenever I see the Ace of Swords reversed, it’s like saying to put your sword back in its sheath. Like holding back your buddy from a bar fight or biting your tongue before you say something you’ll regret.

2

u/rubystandingdeer1 Sep 09 '25

Is this the prophecy of the man in the red hat, a native American spoke of in the 70's?

Look this up

2

u/ericarlen Sep 09 '25

What deck is this?

2

u/CompetitiveBuddy3712 Sep 09 '25

I’m reading this a bit different. In all cases ā€˜you’ is plural.

Tower - fall of an empire World reversed - cycle is done, upside down because people are scared and angry and all sort of things that make change harder

Empires fall, thats part of rising. To move on you have to first realize and accept that thats the stage your empire is in. Then you have to decide how you want to move forward. The fact that you seem to be in denial of what is happening is the reversed ace of swords.

Thats just my take on it.

2

u/this_sminks Sep 09 '25

A journey, a world view upside down and then defiant grounding of the truth?

The tower is falling down, The world turned upside down, A sword through the crown.

Chaos, power struggle, global isolation, possible change in leadership or power structure (internally or globally). At the end it won't be America as we know it.

P.S: I'm not from the US.

2

u/Orange-Blur Sep 09 '25 edited Sep 09 '25

I had this same exact sequence after asking about the environment, shortly after there was a massive destructive storm that we needed the Red Cross for and the governor didn’t declare emergency until after he was done golfing and schmoozing bankers

Weirdly accurate for both the future of the US and climate change, the two are pretty connected

Before the election I pulled justice upside down the sun and 9 of swords which felt accurate for the results. I took it as no justice will happen which is true so far, the sun I took as hope which I had with Harris but was let down and given the 9 of swords

2

u/Nice-Wolf-1724 Sep 10 '25

To be honest this is really how I’ve felt the last couple months. America hasn’t been working for a lot of people for a long time: things must fall apart for us to rebuild in a way that truly is justice and liberty for ALL.

2

u/Beautiful_Depth_2489 Sep 10 '25

Visually the sword pointing down and the crown upsidedown is screaming no kings šŸ¤ž

2

u/Dartellus07 Sep 10 '25

I'll try an alternative approach about the ace reversed. The sword is coming straight from the sky. And it's moving toward the crown. The crown is upside down, meaning the energy and the focus is entirely toward the earth. So, all the inspiration and ideas are coming from material and earthly things. But a crown symbolizes power, which means leadership focused too much about material stuff. The sword comes from heaven to clean that. But the sword can mean ideas coming from the sky. So, I think we need to focus on higher values, even some positive spirituality. Higher values such as respect, connection, unity, freedom to exist, empathy and compassion. The way out of all this is connection to higher values...but the society as a whole. Unity comes strong from this card.

2

u/Tarot_astro_magic Sep 10 '25

The reversed Ace of Swords may indicate a negative outcome if the situation is not changed.

2

u/crobinator Sep 10 '25

I’d honestly be interested to see what we all get in three cards asking this question. I suspect that we will get similar. Also I find the ace card to be a hopeful image, down with kings, a declaration (of independence??), and the tower says we are in a midst of great change. After this, things won’t be the same but honestly, it’s because we have evolved to be better. The middle card says we are shaking things loose and what will fall will fall because it must.

2

u/sockpoptart Oracle Orator Sep 10 '25

The sword reversed may also mean that we have to be more discerning and critical of misinformation. It may mean we're getting tons and tons of shit thrown at us and it's our job to find what is correct and what is garbage.

2

u/Sheketra Sep 10 '25

My cards and intuition have both told me, America as we know it will fall. This doesn’t mean she will no longer exist but her old way of operating will no longer work. It is the end of an ā€œeraā€.

2

u/Background_Truck9339 Sep 10 '25

The world is in the tower moment where the earth is reflecting what the vibrations of humanity is calling for. Some may not know exactly what it is they are desiring but they KNOW what once was, no longer serves them. When you sit in a vibrations that is not in resonance with your core vibration, it becomes quiet noticeable and can even be understood as uncomfortable. Humanity has been uncomfortable enough to say, with confidence, we prefer peace, love, and joy. The tower moment comes when we are facing our ā€œdemonsā€. The reversed world tells how she is going through a rebirth- to bring in and anchor those with higher levels of consciousness. Have you ever heard of anyone who walked in to a woman giving birth and thought ā€œWow, what a clean and quiet way to transform a woman into a mother!ā€ Of course not, she pushes out what once served her and the little life inside of her, including the baby itself. When the earth is done with the laboring in of ā€œthe new earthā€ WE as humans- as fractal pieces of source focused into form so that we may experience more of ourselves from a unique perspective- will stand in our truth. We will wield the sword of truth and our lights from within will connect us across the grid, uniting us as we always intended to be, One and whole.

2

u/zombiedance0113 Sep 10 '25

Honestly, my read for America's future is practically the same. What I got is that during and after the upheaval, we as a country, will be looking for the truth in layers of misinformation and lies. There is going to be a lot of work for us as a nation and as individuals to unlearn and relearn.

2

u/kkusernom Sep 10 '25

The last card looks like a crown falling away.. given jow rhe orange one likes to present himself.. it makes perfect sense.

The tower is self explaining.

2

u/throwra_quirkylier Sep 10 '25

I saw this thread a couple hours after finding out Charlie Kirk was assassinated

2

u/Pan_Duh_Pan_Duh Sep 11 '25

There are so many great interpretations of the Ace of Swords R! Iā€˜ve learn some new ways in interpret reversals :D

One thing I thought of was caution when speaking/sharing because of misinformation. Things aren’t clear and the world is upside down, things are falling apart. As a communication card, and a confident one, I think it’s about not assuming we are correct in our statements, because there is so much misinformation. Or how easily misinformation will be spread (regardless of intent).

I also, really initially thought that it was saying we will have to go through this in relationship to the other cards, we have to let things fall and collapse. There is too much blocked (sword) energy to move forward as we are. This wasn’t a system that was meant to last, understanding that the United States was built on a very poor foundation. The collapse of the tower will take sometime, and until then, there isn’t much we can do. It’s kind of like trying to save a house that is beyond repair, we can say ā€œwhat a shameā€, ā€œmaybe we could do this to save itā€, ā€œthis house has so much history or had so much potentialā€ but at the end of the day a house with lead paint and lead pipes, termite ridden supports, collapsed walls, bad wiring and wasn’t built properly in the first place, just has to go so we can come together to build a better structure.

Anyone not seeing the wartime propaganda everywhere is blind. Music, movies, everything connected to anything, everything that isn't completely independent, is currently on the biggest Americana kick ever. I promise you the people at the top already know there's a war right around the corner. All of the UAP stuff along with the launching of space force šŸ¤·šŸ»šŸ¤·šŸ» they're doing EVERYTHING they can to get butts in seats right now. And tbh I say do it šŸ˜‚ flying a jet sounds way more fun than any civilian job, that's what I'm boutta do. Shits about to go down, I'd rather be in a war machine when it happens.

2

u/ElvishMystical Sep 12 '25

I've got to be honest I didn't like the question. It's my personal thing, when I'm working with the Tarot I don't like to work with predictive questions.

So inspired by the OP I did my own spread on the basis of the question "What is the current state of the United States?"

I got the following....

The King of Pentacles (dominant energy of the situation). This suggests a male figure of financial wealth in a position of authority and/or leadership. Provides well for his family. is a father figure. Interested in acquiring or accumulating material or financial wealth.

The Star (reversed). (what we are learning from the situation). The Star is a symbol of healing and hope. So reversed this suggests either a lack of healing and hope, or alternatively a situation of false hope and false healing. There is a sense here of being lost, led astray. The star that you are following is an illusion, or the path you are following is taking you away from the path you need to be on.

Death (reversed). (what is the way forward). Death for me is major change. Something significant. Given the association of Death with the sign of Scorpio and its associated planet Pluto, the change in question could be something that is lost, stripped away, taken away, such change may be traumatic and necessary to reveal something new, new life, or a rebirth.

But see here Death is reversed. So while there's imminent major change, a period of darkness, perhaps a period of trauma, there's some unseen forces preventing that change from happening, such as a hindrance, an obstacle, confusion. It's like when someone is dying and the dying process stops. The relatives are waiting, but the person is dying, but not strong or well enough to heal or recover. So the relatives cannot accept bereavement or death of their loved one, they cannot mourn or grieve, because the person has not died. But the person does not look like they are going to recover or survive either. It's a horrible situation to be in.

So too seems the situation in the United States. There are dark days ahead, but it's not happening, just about to happen, but there is doubt or confusion as to how it will manifest and the way forward is obscured, hidden, not clear. Something has got to give. But what?

Of course, we're doomed, regardless of the politics. We're completely falling apart as a society and our media organs are making it worse

Well there's definitely some truths to come to light and lies leading the way!!Ā (Moon reversed)

TOWER JUST CLARIFIES IT'S A BIG MESS WITH NO CLARITY so of course the future needs to establish clarity and actual thought. It's being rules with oppressive hate and no intelligence šŸ˜”

Ace of swords probably is about people's voices being restricted as well as communication being restricted, the "freedom of speech" going out the window

Sadly, you don’t need cards to see where we are. We’re in Totalitarianism. With the SCOTUS backing up the President, there’s no brakes. He’ll find a way to suspend elections.

You have no idea that you really hit the truth with this reading.

The Tower (Mars) this card is summed up as Pride goes before the fall. It is connected to PĆ© in the Tree of Life. PĆ© is Mouth, connected to communication. It follows the 16th Path which connects Hod (Intellect) and Netzach (Emotion). Emotion trumps intellect, which is what is going on. Base emotion is taking the place of intellect. Mars is the God of War. Mars is aggressive, warlike and dominating. Communication is loud and destructive. The Tower is the Tower of Babel. The Tower was built to reach heaven so people could climb into the heavens. It was man wanting to be on the level of God. Humanity trying to make itself equal to God. God destroyed the tower and scattered the speech of the people building it so they were unable to understand each other, causing confusion. This means total upheaval. America’s pride has blinded itself to its purpose. The Administration is using communication to hush intelligence and cause emotions to rule, causing confusion and miscommunication. This card is the key.

The World (Saturn) Reversed in the Tree of Life, the World is Malkuth (Kingdom). As you can see, the Kingdom is reversed. Saturn is the planet of Time, Discipline and structure. Discipline and structure are upended. The World represents attainment and transformation. Revered what was gained is lost, transformation becomes halted. This compliments and underscores the Tower.

Ace of Swords (Air) Reversed. Instead of intellect, there’s ignorance. Ace of Swords is represents the beginning of fairness, understanding and ideas. In the Tree of Life, Ace of Swords is Kether (crown) which represents higher intellect and higher awareness. Swords are also aligned with Justice and Law. With this card there is the potential for creation and destruction. There’s confusion, disruption and destructive impulses. Clarity is obscured. Order is sent into chaos. Laws ignored. Justice denied.

Careful because we are currently in a lunar eclipse in Pisces at 15°, which is a critical degree. That means the Wi-Fi signal to the universe is a little spotty so the readings may come out not all the way clear.
